Location

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is located at San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The airport serves the Los Cabos area: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Most major airlines offer service here, with frequent flights from Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, and Seattle. Without traffic, the Cape Hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the airport.

The concierge desk at the hotel can arrange transportation during your stay upon your request or you can rent a vehicle from Inspirato partner Avis beforehand. We do recommend exploring the nearby towns and all that Los Cabos has to offer.

Our Quick Cabo Trip

The Cape Hotel is a wonderful property, with all Ocean Front Rooms very tastefully decorated. Beds and pillows very comfortable. The pool scene was fantastic. The DJ actually came out each afternoon on the weekend and played a mean guitar along with the songs. Had a massage that was great as well at the spa. We had dinner at Manta first night and were so impressed with the food that we cancelled two of our other dinners off property so we could eat at Manta two more times. One note regarding golf. The concierge has a list of golf courses, but they aren't knowledgeable on the golf courses. We played one round at the Cabo San Lucas Country Club (on their list) for $240 each and it was a total dump (it actually was next to a sewer treatment plant that stunk). So, don't rely on the concierge for golf course recommendations. Other than that glitch, the trip was perfect.

The Cape

We had not been to this hotel and were pleasantly surprised. It was not too big so it never felt crowded at the pool or the restaurants. The view was outstanding. You could see the Arch and this is point break where you get the big waves crashing onto the rocks. This is one of the best places to surf in Cabo so you can watch the surfers. The view from The Ledge restaurant for breakfast was great. The rooftop bar was perfect for watching the sunset or looking over Cabo at night. The famous Sunset Mona Lisa restaurant is walking distance from the hotel. We will go back to The Cape.

the views!

We just returned from a stay at this gorgeous penthouse. The views are absolutely spectacular. The villa itself is perfect for a large group. It is very clean and well appointed. The kitchen is lacking in some items but the hotel staff was able to accommodate. It is hard for me not to compare this property to the Montage where we stayed last year. In comparison the Montage customer service was far superior. However the service at this property was good with the exception of a few significant mishaps regarding reservations. Everything worked out in the end! A highlight is the small gym looking out over the ocean. A negative is the location of some sort of sewage treatment a little too close to the backside of this penthouse. Overall we would absolutely return to this beautiful property if just to look out at the view all day!
