Location

Even though you can truly get away from it all, you won't have to spend all day getting to Baha Mar in Nassau. The Bahamas are closer to the U.S. than Caribbean destinations and Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS) is served by American Airlines, US Airways, JetBlue, Delta and others. A rental car is not necessary and usually is not the most convenient as there is limited parking and driving on the left can be a challenge.

One of our favorite places.

We have loved the Rosewood in Nassau for years. It was great when it was on the pass. The service is top-notch and the weather is always good. It is not the concierge service you get at the homes in the other portfolio, but the Rosewood service is good. One of our favorite things is the manor bar in the lobby and the pool service. I would also recommend going offsite to the Graycliff for dinner. It has an interesting history and a great wine cellar. Make sure you get a tour of the wine cellar.

Welcome Home!

This is my 3rd time staying at Rosewood Baha Mar, but the first time with Inspirato. The Inspirato pricing is favorable compared to booking directly with the hotel (even when they are running a special). However no free breakfast is included. The breakfast at Rosewood (café Boulud area) has declined over the years but is still costly. The Library breakfast is quicker and perhaps better, but limited awkward seating and a limited menu. The 1BR suite is a lovely room with a kitchen, washer/dryer. The washer has a mildew smell and mildew on the lining so ultimately we did not use it. Next time, I may stop at the grocery store. It would be nice for Inspirato offer grocery service for the room types that have a kitchen. The Rosewood bedding is amazing and the large balcony is a wonderful place to hang out. We love this property for many reasons-beautiful accommodations, amazing butler staff (love Anisca, Raheem), friendly pool/beach staff, access to all of Baha Mar with the included water park. I’ve tried the grand Hyatt at Baha Mar and it is no match for the Rosewood service and property upkeep. The entire staff will get to know you and make you feel like family or at least a good friend. My daughter felt too old for the kids club (10), but she also isn’t a fan of any kids clubs. She didn’t stay for any of the activities. Remember there are 2 kids clubs to choose from-Rosewood and the one for Baha Mar. She enjoyed the game room and each day we spent about 30 mins there. She loves the water park, pools, beach. She went parasailing and loved it. Of note, the beach was very calm without any crashing waves. Prices at Baha Mar are outrageous and the food quality often doesn’t match the price. Book your restaurants, cabanas, day beds etc prior to going. Your butler staff can help with this but you can also do it in the Baha Mar app. The revamped jazz club is entertaining and a nice environment. The staff isn’t always pleasant, but luckily the performers make up for it. The bar in the Rosewood (Matador I think) has added live entertainment on certain nights and that has been a great addition. Shaung Ba, Marcus, Cleo are our favorite restaurants. After 3 visits we still haven’t tried all places—mainly due to dietary preferences. We do like going to Costa on arrival day to feed the koi fish and grab a bite. Ultimately, we will be back as my family enjoys the service and we know a lot of the staff. I hope the breakfast shifts and gets back to the standards of Rosewood. Inspirato please include free breakfast and offer grocery service. This is also a great property if you have a larger group and some want to stay at another property on the Baha Mar Resort compound. Those not staying at Rosewood cannot use the Rosewood pool or beach, but you will be able to go to theirs. I want to give this property a 5/5 as it is so well rounded and a truly great. The staff is certainly 5/5. The 4/5 is mainly due to the minor things I listed in the review. My family will return.

Rosewood/Baha Mar vs. The Cove/Atlantis

Our two kids (14 and 16) love Atlantis for two reasons: The waterpark and Crush Club. When Baha Mar opened its water park on July 2, 2021, we decided to give it a try.

Bottom line first: As a hotel, Rosewood at Baha Mar is more high end and feels more exclusive than The Cove. But Atlantis has the better water park and, with the Crush Club, more to offer for the teenage set.

A bit more detail: Compared to The Cove, the grounds, food, feeling of luxury and exclusivity, as well as the service are all superior at Rosewood. It's closer to LPIA if you're flying commercial. Everything looks and feels clean and new. Baha Mar does not allow outside guests in, so you do not have the deluge of cruise ship passengers like you have at Atlantis. You can participate in the general amenities and then escape back to the peace and quiet of the Rosewood pools.

The staff are super friendly at each of the three properties (Rosewood, Hyatt, SLS). There are plenty of good restaurants, about the same quality and price as Atlantis. There's a small gym in Rosewood and a larger one in the Hyatt. We enjoyed the 18-hole mini golf course and the tennis facility as well as the pools and beach.

The water park was the biggest disappointment for us. For younger children, however, I think the water park would be an A+. A couple of the more advanced water slides were not operational yet at Baha Mar. We inquired specifically about this before our trip, but the concierge only told us the water park was "open." My son and husband went over to Atlantis for one of the days and the Rosewood hotel manager comped the cost of these one-day passes, which we greatly appreciated.

We look forward to checking it out once all the water slides are completed.

Baha Mar Blessing

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Rosewood Baha Mar. The first time just the 2 of us were able to getaway in awhile and the first time leaving the country since covid. The Bahamians are genuinely friendly and were excited to see tourists coming back to their country.

The Rosewood delivers on what you would expect from a property in their portfolio. Beautiful environment and outstanding service. We also enjoyed the Baha Mar area and were pleasantly surprised with all the additional amenities available to us as part of our stay: casino, restaurants, water park, etc. It gave us a large variety to experience all within a short walk.

We did a fast boat excursion to the Exumas to visit great beaches, swim with the pigs and sharks and take in the sights. Well worth the money.

All in all a great trip.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful service!

We loved our stay & found the people at the hotel to be friendly & very attentive!

The food is expensive & underwhelming unfortunately.

We found a good restaurant about a 20 minute taxi ride away, called Cocoa Plum Bistro, which was our favourite of the places we dined.

We would definitely return as it was a lovely five nights!
