Concierge Pick: Mountain Biking
The Whistler Mountain Bike Park is right here in the village, and it features over 200 kilometers of trails for every skill level. In fact, they're rated green to double black, just like ski slopes, so you can always find one that fits your ability. These trails are also lift-serviced, so you can devote all your energy to downhill excitement. If you want to venture out to a trail away from the resort, I can recommend several beautiful areas to explore. Just let me know if you'd like bike rentals!
Inspirato Recommends: Peak2Peak Alpine Experience
The absolute best views in Whistler begin more than 400 meters above the valet floor. The Peak2Peak Gondola connects the tops of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains - and travels almost 4.5 kilometers in the air along the way. We recommend making the trip from Blackcomb to Whistler peak and choosing one of the many great hikes (the Harmony Lake Trail is a favorite). Then head back for a snack and cocktail at Roundhouse Lodge while you sit back and enjoy more high-altitude fresh air before boarding the Peak2Peak back home.
Locals' Favorite: Scandinave Spa Whistler
Prepare for an entirely new way to rejuvenate. Located slightly north of Whistler, this authentic Scandinavian spa is worth the short drive. We recommend starting with a massage, and then moving to the unique attraction: the Scandinavian baths. The hot baths and waterfalls will soothe your body and promote blood circulation, helping you emerge truly refreshed.
Inspirato Favorite Golf Courses
Nicklaus North Golf Course
Just outside of Whistler Village, Nicklaus North bears the Nicklaus design standard of enhancing the natural environment. In this case, fairways follow the valley floor, with views of towering mountains greeting each tee shot. The course flows along a gorgeous emerald lake, flanked by deep green fir trees. The result is a stunning setting that is well-suited to players of all skill levels.
The Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Club
Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designed this course to flow with the topography, so its 18 holes meander over creeks and ponds, and wind past rock faces and Douglas firs, showcasing the natural beauty of the area. There are over 400 feet of elevation changes in the 6,635-yard layout. Your Destination Concierge can arrange tee times and club rentals if you wish. And we recommend a round, since the course is widely recognized as the most beautiful in Whistler.
