It’s no secret that Inspirato Members love to golf. The game is one of the most popular activities on vacation itineraries, and members frequently travel to major golf destinations such as Punta Cana, Jupiter, and Kiawah Island. And thanks to Inspirato Events, members have the chance to share those common interests with other like-minded club members year-round.
In May, Inspirato Members and their guests got a chance to showcase their skills while meeting fellow members during the club’s 2nd Annual Member/Guest Golf Tournament at our resort partner, the Fairmont Grand del Mar in San Diego. Nearly 80 members and guests from all over the country came to sunny California for the two-man-scramble tournament.
After a kick-off lunch, the players hit the Fairmont’s acclaimed course — the only one in San Diego designed by game legend Tom Fazio — with one member scoring a hole in one. After the tournament, members gathered on the Fairmont’s terrace for a reception, followed by dinner and awards. Awards were granted for numerous achievements, including longest drive and closest to the pin on several holes, with prizes ranging from gift cards to an iPad. The second and third place times received a case of wine from Inspirato’s partner wineries in Napa, while the grand prize winner received a two-night stay and round of golf at the Fairmont Grand del Mar.
