The awards poured upon Sea Island are incredible. Its crowning achievement? It’s the only resort in the world to achieve four Forbes Five Stars — for two of its hotels, the Cloister Spa, and The Georgian Room restaurant — nine years in a row. While those are all must-dos, everything at this family-oriented resort is worth adding to an itinerary. Sea Island offers an elaborate beach club on 5 miles of private beach, three golf courses, an equestrian center, and fantastic children’s programs, just to name a few of the many activities available.
We had never heard of Sea Island prior to joining Inspirato. We’ve now gone there twice! The overall property is world-class. Beach club, restaurants, spa, exercise club, tennis courts, fishing, boating, kayaking, horse-back-riding, gun club – literally everything is within walking or biking distance. The property is exceptionally well maintained and gorgeous. We highly recommend if you want an active vacation that still allows for plenty of beach and pool time.
Inspirato’s cottages at Sea Island provide convenient access to all these amenities. Though with private pools and comfortable living spaces for the whole family, it’s worth staying in, too.
