Italy is home to some of the finest restaurants in the world, making the dining experience is a central part of Italian culture. Your journey will include culinary highlights such as cooking and pasta-making classes, along with exquisite dinners at fine restaurants such as Do’Forni, Tredici Gobbi, Tulli, and more.
No visit to Florence would be complete without sampling the Chianti region’s world-famous wines. Typically closed to tourists, the Colle Bereto winery will open its doors to show off the talents of its skillful winemakers, world-renowned enologist, and features dating back to the 11th century.
One of the most recognizable man-made structures in the world, the ancient Roman Colosseum has towered above the center of the city for almost 2000 years. Our group will receive a private tour and an exclusive inside look at the colosseum, with access to portions of the site not accessible to the general public.
This city-state surrounded by Rome is home to the Pope, along with carefully preserved art and architecture from centuries past. Our visit will include a private, guided tour of the Vatican City Museums and the Sistine Chapel, home of Michelangelo’s iconic painted ceiling, a 16th-century masterpiece.
Float by gondola across the Grand Canal to the famed terrace of the Hotel Gritti. Soak in the spectacular views of Punta della Dogana and the Santa Maria della Salute Basilica, and observe the authentic Venetian lifestyle along the water below from this world-famous perch.
When you’re craving authentic Italian cuisine, traveling to Italy isn’t always a realistic choice. Fortunately, Mama Florence Cooking School will give you the knowledge you need to create delicious Italian meals at home. Here you’ll receive hands-on instruction from master chefs and get to sample what you’ve made along with (of course) the appropriate wine pairing.
