Featured Home: New England Charm at Anchor Landing

Inspirato travelers have long been asking us for a home on the scenic coast of Maine—and we listened. Introducing Anchor Landing: a newly renovated, seven-bedroom residence emanating classic New England charm from every corner of its 8,000+ square feet of space. And with an oceanfront lawn that affords breathtaking water views, its allure extends even beyond its immaculately maintained walls.

Outside, Anchor Landing greets visitors with a shingled façade, stately pillars, and clean white trim. Maine’s soothing coastal atmosphere spreads inside, as well, as gentle colors and furnishings adorn two living rooms, a gourmet kitchen, and even a lofted observatory from which the Atlantic Ocean stretches out to the horizon. The master suite—with a wet bar, private ocean-view balcony, and bathroom with tub and walk-in shower—is its own stunning oasis.

During Maine’s pleasant summers, travelers are sure to spend long afternoons on the ocean-facing deck and grassy lawn. Both spaces offer cushy front-row seats to panoramic water views, and the deck even includes a gas grill for cooking out in the sunshine.

Accommodating up to 14 people, Anchor Landing is perfect for any group—especially families. When they’re not playing games on the lawn, kids can retreat to the home’s basement, where they’ll find a ping-pong table and media room.

An easy drive from Boston, New York City, and the rest of the Tri-State region, Anchor Landing is a fantastic choice for travelers in the Northeast looking for a quick escape, or for any traveler that wants to experience New England charm in an elegant setting. Anchor Landing is located close to the town of York and is ideally situated near restaurants, shops, beaches, and activities that have attracted families to the legendary Maine coast for generations.

The home is just a brief stroll from Long Sands Beach and the Nubble Lighthouse (also known as the Cape Neddick Light), an iconic symbol of Maine. The lighthouse, which dates back to 1879, is one of the most famous in the country—in fact, the Nubble was among the handful of photographs of manmade structures chosen to be included in the Voyager spacecraft that launched in 1977. As a bonus, Anchor Landing is not far from Inspirato’s new hotel partner, Cliff House, which has already garnered rave reviews from members of The Inspirato Club.
