As different parts of the country slowly begin to reopen, we hope that you and your loved ones are staying happy and healthy, and we look forward to welcoming you back to our homes in the coming months. Spending time with the people you love is more important now than ever—and we understand safety is of the utmost concern to our members and passholders.

With that in mind, we’ve compiled four drive-to destinations from eight major metro areas around the country—four closest to the West Coast and four closest to the East Coast.

Here are four of our favorite drivable destinations for our West Coast members and passholders, all with car rides that are eight hours or under and well worth the gas.

(P.S. Wondering when the rest of our destinations are opening for travel? Check this page frequently for the most up-to-date information on our portfolio.)

Los Angeles area: Scottsdale, Arizona

Members and passholders in the L.A. metro area should skip Palm Springs and opt for the desert oasis of Scottsdale, a 6-hour drive east of the city. Get lost among towering red rock in the Sonoran desert at Mickelson or Hogan. And Scottsdale summer heat is the least of your worries: Each of Inspirato’s standalone homes boasts its own private plunge pool.

Phoenix area: Telluride, Colorado

Escape the heat of the desert with an eight-hour drive to the mountains of Southwest Colorado. Nestled within the scenic San Juans, the secluded haven of Telluride offers stunning views and a getaway worth the gas. Take in the fresh mountain air and stellar scenery from the expansive patio of Gold Hill, boasting five bedrooms—great for a large group.

Denver area: Jackson Hole, Wyoming

Though Inspirato has plenty of incredible homes in Colorado, we figured Coloradans could use a change of scenery. Jackson Hole is only an eight-hour drive from the Denver metro area, and easy access to Grand Teton National Park makes it more than worth the trek. Bison Ridge, the biggest Jackson Hole home in the portfolio, is tucked into the trees, right against a soothing creek.

Las Vegas area: Deer Valley, Utah

If you’ve only considered the mountains of Utah a ski destination, think again. Deer Valley is six and a half hours northeast of Sin City, and members and passholders from Vegas can look forward to immersing themselves in nature among the myriad hiking and mountain biking trails that the Wasatch Range has to offer. And after a day of outdoor pursuits, four-bedroom Royal Lookout has its own state-of-the-art theater for movie night.
