One of the most requested destinations from Inspirato Members has been Breckenridge, Colorado, and the club recently made members’ wishes come true by introducing our first-ever accommodations in the ski mecca. There’s a lot to love about Breckenridge; below, see why Inspirato is excited to welcome members to this beloved mountain destination.

The skiing

Breckenridge is the second-busiest ski area in the United States, averaging upwards of 1.5 million visitors annually. And with an average annual snowfall of more than 100 inches, there’s a reason why so many powder hounds come here. Breckenridge Ski Resort comprises nearly 3,000 acres of skiable terrain spread across five peaks, 187 trails, and four terrain parks. Trails offer a solid mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain, offering something for everyone who wants to hit the slopes. Alternatively, Breckenridge boasts two Nordic centers for cross-country skiing.

The town

Historic downtown Breckenridge — heavily composed of original buildings that have stood for more than a century, a nod to the town’s gold mining history — is full of spots to relax after a day strapped into skis or a snowboard. There are plenty of bars and pubs for après-ski beers, including the original location of the booming Breckenridge Brewery, and a host of restaurants ranging from casual to formal. Dozens of shops line the streets, offering everything from sports gear to fine art. Due to the town’s 100+ years in existence, historical sites offer an intriguing glimpse into its past.

The location

Breckenridge is located within close proximity to many other popular ski resorts: Copper Mountain and Keystone are both within a 20-minute drive, for example. A bit further afield are Vail (about 60 minutes away) and Beaver Creek (another 15 minutes after that), both offering world-class slopes. To get to Breckenridge, Inspirato recommends flying into Denver International Airport and either renting a car or reserving private transportation for the scenic two-hour drive through the mountains.

The residence

Inspirato’s residence in Breckenridge is a five-bedroom, 4,000-square-foot stylish modern cabin that was just recently constructed.
