In April, Inspirato member Anita K. and her family took a trip to Jamaica. They had been dutifully quarantining for almost a year and decided it was time to get away, so they booked a stay at Pinnacle Villa. The three-bedroom hillside home tucked within the private Tryall Club boasts a private infinity-edge pool and beautiful views of the Caribbean, as well as an on-site personal cook, housekeeper, gardener, and laundry attendant.
Read on to discover what Anita and her family loved about their laid-back Jamaican retreat.
“My family of four (with two boys aged 5 and 7) spent six nights at Pinnacle Villa. We never imagined that a vacation can be so relaxing! The villa is beautifully situated with a nice view from the outdoor dining table looking over the Caribbean Sea. The pool in the villa is wonderful—nice temperature and the size of a backyard pool in New England. Our kids loved swimming there.
“The staff at the Pinnacle is amazing. We are used to cooking a lot on vacations as it’s hard to take our kids to a lot of restaurants. We didn’t cook one meal or do one dish for six nights! At first it felt uncomfortable to be served every meal, but Marsha and Jenn are amazing. My kids ate more adventurously than ever before, and they were so kind.
“Tryall Club is incredibly safe from a COVID perspective. We have been very quarantined for a year and almost canceled the trip, but we felt incredibly safe there. It’s outdoors, breezy, and the people are very respectful about masks.
“The resort itself is fantastic. The beach is shallow and kid friendly. We swam at the resort infinity pool a few times (only family in the pool!) which was like swimming in a warm bath. We did not leave the club, but my son took a couple of tours with the club environmentalist which was great. Tons of nature to explore on the grounds.
“We did not leave Tryall Club so I cannot comment on outside excursions, but this was definitely the most relaxing trip we have ever taken and i would highly recommend it.”
