Inspirato member Kim Lee has one big reason to travel every year—she takes an annual vacation with a group of eight to 12 of her closest girlfriends. Since joining Inspirato six years ago, Kim has turned to the club to help make that yearly reunion easy and memorable. For their latest trip, the group decided to finally visit a place they’d been dreaming—and hearing glowing reviews—about for years: Rosemary Beach, Florida.

“We always start by looking at houses that can accommodate the whole group,” Kim said. “Rosemary Beach was always on our bucket list. It’s definitely a hidden gem.”
After browsing through Inspirato’s five homes in the Rosemary Beach and WaterColor communities, Kim and her friends decided on Sugarwhite Cottage, an exceedingly charming, six-bedroom abode “just a hop, skip, and a jump away” from the beach, as Kim described it.
“The house was amazing,” Kim said. Spanning more than 4,000 square feet—plus a separate but attached carriage house—Sugarwhite Cottage is ideal for large groups like Kim’s. The friends spent their long weekend reconnecting over drinks and laughs in the kitchen and family room, as well as on the balconies and wraparound terrace.
But, like on any good vacation, Kim and her friends spent plenty of time exploring their surroundings. Rosemary Beach is known for its peaceful, old-fashioned ambiance, in which the group fully immersed themselves. They cruised the area on bikes, relaxed on the beach, visited a farmers market, and sampled eclectic culinary offerings. “All the restaurants we went to were fantastic and everybody was so friendly,” Kim said.

Kim and her friends’ next girls’ trip is already on the horizon. “We always have our planning meeting in January to plan the next trip,” she said. “We’re looking at going out to California, maybe Newport Coast or Terranea resort in Rancho Palos Verdes.”
