5 of our Favorite Destinations in Florida

With spring break in full swing, we’ve been thinking fondly of its quintessential domestic destination: the Sunshine State. Florida has been beckoning snowbirds, East Coasters, and families for decades with its tropical-but-accessible feel and variety of attractions, from the swamps and wildlife of the Everglades to the whirling rides of Disney World and Universal Studios.

Below, we’ve rounded up five of our favorite destinations in the Inspirato Collection within this sun-soaked state. Read on to find out why—or to start picturing yourself there.

Rosemary Beach/WaterColor

Nestled along the scenic 30A corridor lie Rosemary Beach and WaterColor, two serene resort communities that are perfect for a laid-back family getaway. Nestled along sugar-sand beaches, the resorts offer myriad amenities, from tennis to pools to watersports rentals. Stay in top-rated Rain Lily within WaterColor or brand-new White Oak within Rosemary Beach. (P.S. The kids will love that the easiest way to get around is by bike.)

Fort Lauderdale

The more family-friendly counterpart to Miami’s livelier nightlife scene, Fort Lauderdale is southern Florida at its best. Warm-weather activities abound, like boating, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and more. Stay at one of Inspirato’s 17 expansive suites at the Conrad, just across the street from the beach. Sailfish boasts views of the city’s skyline, while Cypress features a soothing look at the Atlantic and Intracoastal Waterway.

Jupiter

A golfer’s haven, this resort community on Florida’s Atlantic Coast is a favorite of the game’s greats. (In fact, Greg Norman just sold his $60 million home in Jupiter.) Inspirato members have access to a Jack Nicklaus-designed course and more amenities with a stay at one of three homes—like two-bedroom Albatross—tucked within the exclusive Timbers Haven resort, each with its own plunge pool.

Florida Keys

A little slice of the Caribbean awaits in the storied Florida Keys, where white-sand beaches provide a welcome respite that feels a world away. Sample sumptuous key lime pie, or try your hand at world-class fishing and diving—you’d be hard pressed to find a better place to in the U.S. Stay at one of four breezy, spacious Inspirato homes within the Islands of Islamorada, like three-story Palomar.

Amelia Island

This barrier island just off Florida’s northeastern coast offers under-the-radar appeal, with uncrowded beaches and ample natural beauty. Watch a Civil War reenactment at Amelia Island’s historic Fort Clinch, one of the most well-preserved 19th-century forts in the U.S., or birdwatch at Amelia Island State Park, a major stop on the Florida Birding Trail. Inspirato members can look out over the island’s 13 miles of pristine beach with a scenic blufftop stay at the Ritz-Carlton.
