Few destinations capture the imagination quite like Patagonia. The otherworldly South American landscape, with its striking Andes peaks and crystalline Lakes District, is widely considered a bucket-list destination. This is due in large part to the remote location that helps preserve Patagonia’s pristine landscapes, and also makes the region difficult to reach. When you’re finally able to make the journey, you want it to be everything you’ve dreamed of. The Baders were looking to explore the region at a leisurely pace, so instead of waiting for the next Inspirato Only Journey to Patagonia, they turned to Bespoke to design their ultimate Patagonia itinerary.

From Polo to Tango in Buenos Aires
The nearly month-long adventure began with a full day of travel. The Baders arrived in Buenos Aires hungry for Argentine culture, and they found it at the historic Palacio Duhau — Park Hyatt Buenos Aires. They enjoyed a private tour of the belle époque neighborhoods and dinner amid the gardens of Gioia Cocina Botánica. The following days included polo and wine tasting at Estancia La Sofía, an authentic parrilla feast at Fervor, a private cooking class, and a romantic evening of tango in the velvet-lined cabaret of the Faena Hotel.
Wine Tasting in Mendoza
The Baders flew to Mendoza and arrived via private transfer to The Vines Resort & Spa. There they enjoyed gourmet fare cooked over an open flame, relaxing spa treatments, and a tour of the resort’s 1,500 acres of vineyards. In the Uco Valley, the Baders spent several days immersed in the rich heritage and bold flavors of Argentinian Malbec country. They enjoyed exclusive tastings from award-winning wineries before departing for the main event: their dream Patagonian adventure.

The Patagonian Adventure Begins
Pristine Camps El Calafate welcomed the Baders to Patagonia. Against a breathtaking backdrop of snowcapped peaks, they explored the amenities at Dos Lagos ranch, a sustainable haven powered by the region’s largest solar energy plant. Guided excursions included a stop at Yellow Station for a traditional Patagonian meal, and horseback riding around Lake Roca.
“We had a lovely day today after a snowstorm last night at Pristine. Today we saw the Perito Moreno glacier, which was amazing.”
Venturing beyond the ranch, the Baders embarked on a cruise via modern catamaran across the Boca del Diablo, through the North Arm of Lake Argentino toward the Upsala and Spegazzini Canals. They sailed past forests and the famous glaciers of Heim Sur and Seco, enjoying a preview of what was to come.
The next stop on the Baders’ tour of Patagonia was Ushuaia, where they stayed at the Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa. There they spent a day hiking through ancient forests and relaxing in infinity pools perched high above the Beagle Channel before departing dry land once again—this time via Tierra del Fuego, the gateway to the Antarctic.

An Antarctic Cruise
The Baders spent five days at sea aboard the Stella Australis, seeing some of the most remote corners of the planet on their way to Punta Arenas, Chile. Highlights of the expedition included seeing Cape Horn overlooking the Drake Passage, trekking through historic Wulaia Bay, Zodiac tours around Pia Glacier and the Condor Glacier, and meeting Patagonian penguins on Magdalena Island on the legendary Strait of Magellan.
In Puerto Natales, Chile, our members checked into The Singular Patagonia and spent the following day exploring the surrounding caves, mountains, and fjord. Despite the destination’s nickname, the “End of the World,” the Baders’ journey was far from over.
Exploring Torres del Paine National Park
After roughly an hour’s drive via private transfer, the Baders arrived at Tierra Patagonia near Lake Sarmiento and Torres del Paine National Park. The latter beckoned with ancient forests, turquoise waters, abundant wildlife, and glistening icebergs. Torres del Paine National Park offers a wealth of outdoor recreation, from horseback riding to mountain climbing. Each day brought new experiences to the Baders, who were able to enjoy a catamaran ride across Lake Pehoé and traverse the legendary Towers of Torres del Paine. Between outdoor adventures, they refueled with hearty Patagonian cuisine and the signature services of Uma Spa overlooking the Paine Massif.

After several action-packed days, they departed for Puerto Montt and &Beyond Vira Vira in Chile’s Lake District, home to the active volcano of Villarrica. The guides at Vira Vira introduced the Baders to the area’s most popular attractions—like thermal hot springs, white-water rafting, a labyrinth of lava tunnels, and the volcano’s summit—as well as to the mystic ambience of the ancient Mapuche territories.
Their final few days in Patagonia had the Baders enjoying chef-crafted menus of Chilean cuisine with local wines, a tour of the resort’s own cheese factory, wellness treatments like forest therapy, and treks through the foothills of the Andes. Before concluding their month-long journey and heading home, they stopped in Santiago for a private half-day tour of Chile’s vibrant capital.
“The detailed planning was phenomenal, and everything went exactly as scheduled with zero hiccups or delays.”
