Location

The most convenient way to travel here is flying into either Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) in San Jose or Liberia International Airport (LIR). Travel time from each airport to the hotel is approximately 2.5 hours.

Nayara can arrange transportation with a private chauffeured service anytime and anywhere within Costa Rica, but we recommend a rental car through club partner Avis if you have an active itinerary. Inspirato members receive exclusive benefits through the invitation-only Avis President's Club.

A real tropical paradise

Loved everything about the Nayara! The service was outstanding. The concierge was great about getting us taxis into town for dinner. The restaurants are not necessarily the best but so close to town for top notch food options.

We stayed in the Springs - adult only and also at the tented rooms - both so difference and yet so special. FOr adults would recommend the Springs for more for of a quiet, private vibe.

Also recommend the private tours - we did one to the waterfall but would consider the hanging gardens or other.

Also ATV ride with Outbacks was great and recommended by the concierge.

Can't wait to return!

Unbelievable Room and Resort

Nayara Tented Camp was an awesome experience for my family. It's a beautiful resort in a beautiful setting. We were upgraded to a family tent at check in and it was perfect for my family of 4 and was very private with a view of the volcano. We booked excursions each day through the hotel and they were all great. The service was the best I have experienced at a luxury resort and the staff was genuinely kind and eager to help. Breakfast was included in our stay and included a buffet of fruit and pastries and a full menu of made-to-order of options. All of the restaurants on site were great for lunch and dinner as well. Can't say enough good things about this resort.

True luxury, totally unique - don't miss this!

Nayara was certainly a true paradise and we will definitely return. This was our first time to a real rainforest and it was exciting. My view is that you really must stay in the Tented Camp area as it really fits with the highest standards and expectations you have with Inspirato. The other areas (Gardens and Springs) were also nice and have full access to all the facilities but the plunge pool with direct views of the Arenal volcano were mesmerizing. The new reception area, restaurant and pool in the Tented Camp area just opened last September and elevates the resort to an even higher level. Our tent was easy walking distance to that area across a hanging bridge making it quite unique each time. I also must mention the high level of personal service and friendliness of the staff (personal name recognition). The resort is well run and makes use of local producers of food and materials allowing them to have a strong bond with the community. We ate at all of the restaurants and our favorites were Asia Luna (freshest sushi and ceviche), Amor Loco (most romantic) and Mis Amores (best staff). We also highly recommend both internal (free) activities and external excursions while in the area. We tried to balance equal time of excursions/tours with time just relaxing and enjoying the resort. We highly recommend the private Nayara tour of Hanging Bridges/La Fortuna Waterfall and the Pure Tek Canyoning/Rappelling adventure. You may not want to leave the resort and all it offers but there is much more in the region a short distance away.

Finally we have to say that if it were not for our Pass membership, we would probably never have found or stayed at Nayara so we are very grateful for our membership. You may not find it to be a high Pass value trip compared to others but we considered it an excellent way to use Pass.

Best place we have ever stayed

There is something magical about this place. We have done a lot of traveling, but never stayed at a place like this. HIGHLY recommend going to Nayara. Better for couples than a family. Truly a gem.
