Hotel Jerome is often described as “Aspen’s crown jewel” and the title is fitting. Since 1889, the boutique hotel has presided over the heart of downtown Aspen, welcoming guests over the years like journalist Hunter S. Thompson and 10th Mountain Division soldiers. Today, it offers an enticing blend of old and new, with vintage-inspired decor that nods to its colorful past as well as modern and luxurious touches—like a ski valet and an Auberge Spa. You never know who might be sitting next to you at the hotel’s signature J-Bar, which attracts an international crowd with its après-ski cocktails and buzzy atmosphere. As for skiing, Ajax Mountain is just a few blocks away, and guests can utilize a complimentary ski shuttle to access all four mountains.

Hotel Jerome is located in downtown Aspen, so you can easily walk to the town’s restaurants, shops, and attractions. Due to parking restrictions in the neighborhood, driving is not recommended. However, if you plan to explore beyond the town, we do recommend a rental car. Club partner Avis is your best bet.

Beautiful historic hotel in a perfect location

This hotel is perfectly situated to walk anywhere in Aspen. I stayed for Aspen Ideas and was easily able to walk to the venue from the hotel. Shops and restaurants are nearby as well as the pharmacy which has just about anything you may not have remembered from home. The pool is small but makes up for the size by being open 24/7. Great restaurants on property and excellent service!

This hotel is the perfect place to stay for those that don’t want to be next to the mountain. The staff is superb, the hotel is wonderfully decorated, and the location is easily accessible to downtown Aspen’s shopping and dining. The patio is the place to relax and enjoy watching the world pass by

Hotel Jerome is exceptional.

Staff is excellent, food and bar service very good. Convenient location, you do not need a car to get anywhere in town. Shopping is exceptional but plan on spending money on restaurants. Worth the price.
