Good location; comfortable stay

Staff has a great, helpful attitude. The hotel is comfortable but not as high end as we generally prefer.

Archer Hotel mid-february

The hotel and the entire staff there were wonderful. Lots of shopping and dining near the Archer, as well as other neat restaurants around Austin.

Archer in Austin

The Archer is a chic Texas boutique hotel in the suburbs outside Austin. The rooms are ultra spacious, have a gas fireplace on the porch of the room and have great in-room amenities. The staff was very welcoming and provided us with a welcome gift of a few bottles of local beer and sparkling water, homemade chips, salsa and guacamole. All delicious. This hotel is in a mixed used development that was made to simulate downtown Austin without the drunken college kids of 6th street. Plenty of upscale shopping all within walking distance as you are in the middle of the mall.

The hotel has a restaurant/bar where the food is very good but on the expensive side. The workout facility is first class although the outdoor pool was closed due to extreme cold.

There are a number of good but not great restaurants near the hotel. Travel ten minutes for better local food. The concierge, Steven, was amazinginly helpful.

The only negative was that it took them until almost 7pm to come make up the room so we passed. We only had one day where the room was serviced because of delays in housekeeping.

Visit San Antonio wchich is only an hour and fifteen minutes away, Downtown Austin (which is only about a twenty minute drive) has a great biking/walking trail along the lake and a cool local scene away from the bars. Steven will guide you in the right direction.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to any Inspirato member looking to experience Austin without the drunken crowds
