Location

You will fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), located about 40 minutes from the Thompson Denver. Your hotel concierge can arrange for a rental car reservation or for private transportation. You can also take the high-speed light rail service from the airport to downtown Denver’s historic Union Station, which is a 12-minute walk from the hotel.

The city is pedestrian-friendly and has plenty of ride-sharing services or light rail accessibility. If you would like to get out of the city and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, we recommend renting a car through club partner Avis. Do Not Stay Here

Everything about this property screams "not Inspirato", and leaves one wondering why it is even available. The service was horrible (really non-existent, so horrible is the best that comes to mind). The rooms are tiny and cramped, with little closet space, a small sink area, and no comfortable seating. The staff is miraculously uncaring. If you tried to define uncaring you still would fall short of how poor this staff is (with the exception of housekeeping, when they showed up--we had to call just to get service one day). The hotel has all the service of a pandemic-era experience, and even then, it would have been below mediocre standards in the pandemic. We would never stay a second time here.

New hotel, great location

The Thompson was a great hotel especially for the price. Its new and modern with great amenities. Loved the lobby coffee shop in the morning. We did not eat at the restaurant but looked like a great option. Its in a perfect location in downtown Denver where you can easily walk to Denver Center of Performing Arts, Ball Arena, Union Station etc.

Not like the pictures

The rooms are VERY dark and small, this room looks nothing like the pictures. There is really no where to put your clothes, luggage, etc. (just a tiny "closet") No plugs in any convenient locations. I would not consider this a "suite".

The staff is very friendly and the hotel and room are clean.

Thompson Hotel in Denver is Fantastic!

Everything about this hotel was fantastic: staff, executive suite, location, amenities, etc etc. A newly built hotel that is located between 16th and 17th street and is very close to Union Station, Ball Arena, Larimar Square, and a longer walk to Rockies stadium. There are so many great restaurants and bars in this location.

The hotel staff were so nice and helpful and the room was very clean, with additional amenities (slippers, robes, toiletries). There was also a record player and vinyl albums - what a nice surprise! I highly recommend this hotel.
