Location

You'll fly into Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR), which is about 6 miles from Portrait Firenze. From the U.S., you'll connect via Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or another major European city. There are also direct flights into Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport, about 60 miles west of Florence.

You won't need a car in this destination; in fact, tourists generally can't even drive within the city limits. Fortunately, you'll stay in the heart of the city, where you can walk to many attractions. For something a little farther, such as a trip to Chianti country, your hotel concierge can arrange for a driver. You'll also be conveniently close to the rail station, and we highly recommend making an easy day trip to Pisa, Venice or Rome.

fabulous hotel and food

The hotel lifestyle team was great and arranged everything. The rental car company delivered the car to the hotel for our drive to Tuscany . We traveled with another couple and they upgraded both of use to suites that were supper nice .. the two guided tours we took were also great. We found out that this hotel was owned by the Ferragamo group …..excellent food and drinks ….fantastic view of the famous Gold Bridge in Florence.

Romantic Getaway

My wife and I Loved Florence. Our hotel was amazing. The concierge team at Portrait was the best. They helped us with so much and provided us with great information regarding food, sites to see, shopping, how to navigate the trains and other means of transportation. The hotel was located close to so many great things. Every place we ate the food was amazing. I would recommend that you take plenty of euros ahead of time that way you can get a good rate. I would also recommend that you look up "Florence with Flair" Elena showed us so many hidden gems in the city and even helped us in an emergency when my wife had to go to the hospital. Overall our trip was the best!! I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Gorgeous room in great location

We were in Florence for just one night on our way to Tuscany when we stayed at the Firenze. We had just arrived from a 9 hour flight and walked into a fabulous suite that was decked out with EVERY creature comfort. From the bedding to the marble bathroom to the living room complete with champagne, fresh fruit and chocolates - literally NOTHING was lacking in this room. The hotel is also located in a great spot just across the street from the river and a block from the duomo, Uffizi museum and major Florence historical sites. The breakfast in the morning was gorgeous. Highly recommend this as a base for Florence holiday.
