The beach at the resort is a wonderful place to lay out and build sandcastles but is not recommended for swimming. There are many swimmable beaches 10 to 15 minutes away in each direction.

Location

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is located at San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The airport serves the Los Cabos area: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Most major airlines offer service here, with frequent flights from Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, and Seattle. Without traffic, the Cape Hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the airport.

The concierge desk at the hotel can arrange transportation during your stay upon your request or you can rent a vehicle from Inspirato partner Avis beforehand. We do recommend exploring the nearby towns and all that Los Cabos has to offer.

The Cape in Cabo NYE 2020

My wife and I enjoyed a 5 night couples getaway to ring in 2020 at The Cape, we traveled using PASS. The concierge setup airport transfers both ways for what is roughly a 40 minute ride from the airport.

Our accommodation at The Cape was the Thompson Suite and it was a fabulously large room with a roomy balcony. Do clarify which Thompson Suite you have as one has a daybed and the other a plunge pool.

We were pleased with the entire hotel including the restaurants on property, the views are incredible from almost any vantage point at the hotel. It's also about a 10 to 15 minute cab ride into downtown Cabo San Lucas for restaurants and nightlife. Spa is nice and pool area as well. Staff for the most part is very nice and helpful.

Cabo is a fun place to ring in each new year, if you are considering it I would go without hesitation. It's a little cooler than I would've expected at night during the winter so be sure to bring a jacket for the evenings.

The Cape will take your breath away! The views are to live for! Enjoyed the very adult-ish feel.

Wonderful experience

the Cape is a perfect adult boutique resort. Every room overlooks the ocean. Balconies on every room. And the SERVICE!!! Wow! Unsurpassed. From the personal greeting, to the individualized breakfast, ( the chef came out personally to inquire about making a Caribbean breakfast the next day for my fiancé. And to his credit, the next morning, he delivered!!)to the cabana, to the questions on food allergies. We had a blast. Would recommend to anyone looking for a long weekend getaway.
