Beautiful Retreat

Chable Yucatan was a perfect blend of beautiful terrain, incredible architecture and design, eager service, and the quiet needed to get some rest. You won't get bored because there was plenty to do (much off the beaten path too, like a tour of the Melipona bee sanctuary and cooking/mixology classes), but even better, there was no end to the impressive views. The best part of the stay was just walking the grounds and taking in what an idyllic, tasteful, and quiet environment each acre was. Absolutely beautiful, great if you are more eager to slow down and be quiet, but no lack of fun activities to structure your days around. We ate at each of the restaurants on the grounds and had excellent meals at all of them. Cocktails were maybe even better. Service was exceptional and extremely friendly - they especially did a great job of being anticipatory (making arrangements for us to get home in the afternoon rain, for example). Highly recommend!

Diamond in the rough

Chable Yucatan is amazing. We are from Dallas, so Merida is a two hour direct flight, and then the resort is a 30 minute drive from the airport. We stayed at the resort in early March and out of 40 casitas, only 8-10 were occupied. We mostly only saw other guests at meal times, we saw more iguanas around the property than other guests.

The casitas are very private and luxurious. My wife and I wanted a few days to escape the winter cold and the tropical jungle setting provided the perfect setting to relax and reconnect. The private plunge pool was heated (to our surprise) which meant evening swims were warm and relaxing.

We enjoyed the spa (twice) during our stay. And also checked out the Mayan cooking class and the tequila tasting. The daily breakfast for two was great and dinner at Ixi'Im was delicious.

If you are looking for privacy, luxury, and a chance to disconnect from your hectic day-to-day, I highly recommend Chable Yucatan.

Chable Yucatan - Space and Tranquility

We spent an amazing week at the resort. Each casita is huge and very private with alot of space and jungle between them. Each has a private pool. The resort is also huge and you rarely see other guests, except at meals. There are only like 40 casitas, so there is never a crowd. The pool area is perfect for relaxing. It has a good gym, useful for workouts. Running around the property is great and it is about 2 miles to do the perimeter. With a couple of cross overs, I could do 4 miles easy.

The staff is attentive, without being overbearing. The main Hacienda building is beautiful and we had drinks there most nights.

We did a tour of Uxmal on our own with a driver. The pyramid and the surround buildings are amazing. We also did a tour of Merida - probably the best kept Mexican City that I have been to.

On property we did the wine tasting and the Mayan cooking lunch. Both great experiences.

Highly recommend the resort for those looking to relax and not need to be constantly occupied with activities. There is a small 9 hole golf course, but we did not do it. It is quiet and not full of people. There were two families there with teenagers, so it could be good for kids.

Spectacular couple retreat !

We had a wonderful time in this incredible place in the middle of Merida. The hotel is an old hacienda which has been remodeled with modern architecture leaving some old structures which makes it amazing. The place has incredible rooms and pool areas. The Spa is absolutely great. It is a great place to enjoy with your spouse to have great meals and just enjoy your time together. Will encourage anyone to go !!
