Location

Getting to Mougins is easy, as the walled village is just a 20-minute drive from Nice Côte d'Azur International Airport (NCE). Once you land, you can either hop on a bus to Mougins, take a taxi, or rent a car. Renting a car isn’t necessary since there are plenty of trains, taxis, and private car services to take you where you need to go. You can also get around many of the small towns by foot. If you do choose to rent a car, you’ll be pleased to know they drive on the right side of the road and will find that a drive through the French Riviera is beautiful all year long.

Amazing property

We have been on many Inspirato trips but this might be the nicest property we have stayed in. It is an incredible Villa on the side of a mountain in an adorable village.

Sandra helped us plan an incredible itinerary and Nina and team on-site were amazing and met our every need including the delivery of fresh croissants each morning to our door.

The home and property are exceptional. There were great spaces for our large group including a beautiful pool and patio. The yard goes on forever and it overlooks the most beautiful valley.

The day trips to Cannes, Nice, Eze and Monaco were so much fun and it was also nice to return to our quiet village of Moughins each evening.

Absolutely anazing!

Amazing property! Our family loved every bit of the property. The Concierge was especially helpful both on and off site. Sandra planned the itinerary with details that everyone in our family enjoyed. Would recommend and go back tomorrow if we could.

Spectacular

This villa is one of a kind and made our trip to France unforgettable. Located in a village filled with art, food and wine, it was all idyllic.

From the living areas to the pool to the views, it was all perfect. Every detail of the home is tastefully designed.

What made the trip even better was the top-notch service of our concierge, Anthony, and his team. We had a complicated and an aggressive itinerary made simple by Anthony. We were so very impressed with his service.

This home is a must-stay if you are near Nice or Cannes.

Mougins is a dream

This trip might have been the best Inspirato vacation we have taken. We rented Villa L'ancienee Poste Telegraphe for a week with 5 other couples. Sandra, our trip planner and on-site concierge, was phenomenal as was the rest of the team in Mougins. This particular Villa is located in the town of Mougins making it so easy to walk across the street for a gourmet dinner, art gallery browsing, shopping, etc. Here's the itinerary Sandra helped me plan:

Day 1 - Sandra arranged charcuterie and wine on hand for our check-in. We all visited the Wine Cave (down the street) to stock up for the week. After, we walked out our front door to dinner at La Mediterannee - excellent food and service.

Day 2 - We decided not to rent cars but rather had Sandra arrange for private transfers (2 Mercedes vans) to drive us to and from all our excursions. Everyone agreed this was the way to go. Our drivers for the week were Cedric and Sebastian - courteous, on-time, flexible. We spent the day at Keller Beach in Cap d'Antibes. This was the perfect way to start our trip. We all enjoyed walking the Sentier de Tire-poil along the coast. After a big lunch at Keller beach for dinner we picked up charcuterie from the Wine Cave and ate at the Villa.

Day 3 - Cedric and Sebastian took us to Saint Paul De Vence dropping us at the Foundation Maeght for a private tour. The collection, architecture and grounds are phenomenal. Everyone enjoyed our 'Day of Culture'. We walked over to Restaurant La Colombe d' Or for lunch. While we sat on the patio, on't miss the inside of the restaurant had plenty of famous art on its walls so shouldn't be missed. After lunch we had a private lesson in the game of Petanque (like Bocce). Oliver, our instructor, could not have been nicer. For dinner, we walked out our front door to yet another amazing meal: l'Amandier.

Day 4 - We chartered a power boat for the day which took us to Saint Tropez for lunch at Club 55. The boat was beauiful, the crew so nice and we had great weather. We stopped at a few coves to swim. For dinner, Sandra arranged for a private chef to prepare dinner at the Villa. The four-course meal was outstanding.

Day 5 - We decided on a day of leisure at the Villa. This gave us time to explore Mougins and enjoy the beautiful amenities at the Villa - pool, Petanque, media room, lounge area, etc. For dinner, we walked out the front door to La Boheme, which was wonderful.

Day 6 - Half the group did a Taste of Nice walking tour and half did a Sights of Nice bike tour. We staggered vans going back to the house so some could stay in Nice to shop. For dinner we ordered-in from Curry House which is a few steps from the Villa. It was very inexpensive and delicious.

Day 7 - The vans took us wine tasting today. The first vineyard was Chateau Font de Broc. It was built in the 1980's but looks hundreds of years old. Their grounds are beautiful and wine impressive. The second vineyard was Chateau de Berne. We started with lunch at the Chateau's bistro followed by a tour and tasting. It was interesting to see their large scale operations after visiting the boutique vineyard in the morning.

Gorgeous Villa

Hands down, this is the most gorgeous villa we’ve ever stayed in and in the best location we’ve ever stayed. The design is unbelievable, the view is stunning, the location is amazing. The concierge Anthony was responsive and recommended a great itinerary. I can’t wait to visit here again. Surely would have been a 5, but maintenance and cleanliness were a big issue. When we brought that to the attention of the hospitality staff, we were offered excuses and reactions of disbelief. Door handles were falling off, shades fell of the windows, hooks missing, moldy ice machines, dirty dishes, moldy showers, dirty toilets, safes not working. For the amount we paid, I expected a clean villa. Standards need to be established.
