What a great trip!

My wife and I recently had a quick trip to Nashville, TN. We checked in to the Thompson Suite at the Thompson Hotel at the corner of 11th Avenue and Pine St. The room was spacious with an honor bar, a cool bluetooth speaker, two TVs and an awesome bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. One other feature we really liked were the up to date magazines and some really interesting books. After unpacking we immediately made our way to Broadway for snacks and drinks. There are many choices. We bar hopped our way down the street stopping in to listen to music. There is so much musical talent on this street it was hard to leave and go to a different bar. We eventually made our way to Southern, a steak and oyster restaurant for drinks and dinner. We highly recommend this restaurant. The cocktails were very good, the brussel sprouts were amazing and we shared the halibut special. We then went to the Ryman Auditorium for the Beth Hart concert. The Ryman is an incredible music venue. The sound is phenomenal. A great place to listen to music. We then went back to Broadway and bar hopped until 2AM. The next day we got takeout for breakfast from Biscuit love across the street from the hotel. We had the chicken biscuit with gravy....a great hangover cure. It was raining so we went to the Green Hills Mall....a very large mall with every store you could imagine. We then went to The Patterson House, a speakeasy in Midtown. We highly recommend visiting this place. They had some of the best cocktails we've ever had. The sazeac's and gin fizz were great! We then ate at Valentino's. We highly recommend this Italian restaurant. They are located in a house so the dining areas are setup in different rooms of the house. They have a good wine list to pair with the food and the food and service was first rate. Stay for an after dinner drink in the bar. We then went to the swanky roof top bar at the Marriott. A beautiful view of the city from there. Nashville is definitely a city we will visit again!

Valet car service was poor

Getting to valet service is challenging and it takes a very long time to get your car when needed. Called for call and they said it would be ready in 12 minutes. Actually took 35 minutes. As a result, we were late for our dinner.

The Thompson is the perfect hotel to stay at in Nashville. Great location and nice rooftop bar. We will definitely be back!
