Great location, lacking in service

This was our third time to stay at the Lotte Towers. We absolutely love the Midtown location. You are near shopping on 5th Ave, Rockefeller Plaza, Radio City Music Hall, etc and not too bad of a walk to Times Square and many other great areas. We usually get a 1 or 2 bedroom studio and love the corner studio suite where you have a good view of the city. We were on the 48th floor and this time did not get the view of Rockefeller. We will request this next time. I had been in touch with the concierge prior to arrival to get recommendations on restaurants and New Year’s Eve reservations. they were responsive and helpful. we wanted to see the ball drop in Times Square but didn’t want to be in the chaos of all the people who wait 15 hours to see it. We made reservations at the Redeye Grill which did a beautiful 5 course meal from 8pm-11pm with live music and at midnight we went outside of the restaurant with champagne and watched the ball drop from the street in front of the restaurant. You could see the ball drop one direction and the fireworks over Central Park the other direction. It was much better option than the chaos of Times Square. I also asked the concierge to provide a list of amenities we can order for the room in advance and had ordered strawberries and champagne to be delivered day one and wine and cheese on day two. When we eventually got to the room on the first night, everything had been delivered at once and was sitting on the table in the living room. I had also requested a rollaway bed and coffee pot in the room (the Inspirato site states there is a charge for these but worth it). I asked in email 3 times if they had our requests for these items and was assured they did. We had a delayed flight so I called to let them know we would be arriving pretty late (around 10pm). They assured us no problem. When we arrived we were checked in and it was late so no one else really around—it took forever to check us in which seemed a bit crazy since we had already paid for the room via Inspirato and they had my card on file. Not sure why it took so long but I did ask the reception person if there was a rollaway and coffee maker in our room. She said she wasn’t sure but would call us after we are in the room to find out if it was there and if not she would send it up. We got to the room and there was no coffee maker or rollaway. She called so we told her and she said she would send it up. We were all exhausted from traveling all day and ready for bed but an hour later no rollaway had arrived. We called down and the same receptionist said she would send it up. Still no bed. By 2am, my husband went down to the lobby to find out what was going on. They apologized and told him they would not charge him for the bed and would send up asap. 30 mins later it arrived. The next morning we called down to say we had no coffee pot either. 2 .5 hours later we finally received a coffee pot after we had already gone downstairs and bought some since it took so long. There are only 2 elevators for the towers so plan on always waiting to go up or go down. The elevators are very small so not many can fit so even when it finally arrives to your floor, its often too full and you need to wait longer-so plan on a 10-15 min wait each time. They really need more elevators for this part of the hotel (towers have separate elevators from the rest of the hotel). When we checked out, they had a lot of charges we should not have been charged for so be sure to check your bill. The receptionist was not very nice about it either when i challenged the charges. First off they had the charge for the rollaway-and when I explained what happened and that whoever was working that night told my husband at 2am that they would not charge us for the bed. She wanted to know the persons name—which we obviously didn’t have. I said there could only be a couple people on the schedule for that time of the day so look it up. They also charged us for mini bar items we did not consume and they also charged us for laundry. The Inspirato site states that 2 items pressed for free and one shoe shine for free. We had one shirt pressed and one pair of shoes shined and they had charged us $40 for this. We eventually had a manager come assist and remove the charges that should not have been on the bill but it was pretty frustrating to have to deal with all that. I will say the Lotte Tower Plaza is magical at Christmas and new Years and the courtyard they do up for the holidays is beautiful. We took pictures there and had apple cider and it was done really nice. We also enjoyed the bar inside the hotel which is really unique and beautiful. We did not go to Rarities this time but we have done that in the past. It’s very quiet and nice but plan to spend about $50 a drink —it’s not cheap! :) Overall we love the location and beauty of this hotel but were shocked at the service this time. It just was not to usual Inspirato standards…it may have just been because it was New years and they were pretty full and busy but nonetheless, when you are paying these prices, you expect next level service.

Enormous room in a great location

We picked this hotel based on the location because we came to NY to see shows and this put us in walking distance of all the theaters. We loved the location - just directly behind St Patricks and Rockefeller center. The staff were all very friendly and helpful even though the hotel was super busy for spring break. The room itself was very nice and just huge and with amazing views of the east river. This suite had basically a full kitchen but with no dishes which I assume you could request. But there is a microwave and big mini fridge so you could actually have leftovers. There's also a full size dining table and with the views the in room dining was very nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Location!

Hotel is classic, nice, traditional and will please most. I was disappointed in the barren feeling in the rooms, as no mini bar, glassware, decorative items were all taken away due to Covid protocols. I feel like a fair review would be best for a future stay. The concierge was outstanding and the doormen were incredibly helpful!

A few nights in Manhattan

The Corner Suite at the Towers at Lotte Palace Hotel was everything we had hoped for and more. The room was gorgeous and HUGE, and had views from every room including the kitchenette.

The concierge was helpful and knowledgeable and sent us to two amazing restaurants and one great bar.

The best part is that we used the Pass for this trip, so it made it even more fun.

Great stay in New York

We were looking for a nice place to gather a few friends and this place went above and beyond. The living room is gorgeous, the view tremendous. There weren't any plates, utensils or bowls and limited glasses, but we managed. Overall, the location was great, the Towers were amazing and we didn't want to leave.. Look forward to coming back here.
