Santa Barbara Airport is about a 15-minute drive from the Rosewood Miramar. Most major airlines service this airport. A rental car is recommended to visit all the nearby sights and activities. Great property, enjoyed our experience

The combination of a seaside property, wonderful weather, excellent staff, beautiful landscaping and lighting, workout facility, spa and outstanding cuisine made for a special experience. This is a great addition to Inspirato's enterprise of propereties and we had a fine time. To elaborate on a few things:

-- It's very expensive and the bar is consequently very high. Overall it was worth it and we would recommend it highly, there are a few items to note.

-- our Lanai king room was excellent but the property is quite spread out and we were close to the edge of the property so it was a hike to the central areas. This a not a problem, just a bit of a surprise. This may have contributed to our room service taking a long time (typically an hour or more) and our maid service being much later than we expected or were satisfied with...after 4 pm and we had an evening turndown service at 9:30 pm.

--Given the beautiful setting, this is an amazing venue for weddings which I understand are frequent. One occurred on the day we arrived and it was a beautiful outdoor setting in the primary open area between the hotel and the ocean. While we enjoyed seeing the wedding party and festivities, the hotel staff asked all the guests sitting outside to move so they could film and photograph the ceremony without guests in the background. Separately and earlier, my spouse and I had already been relocated from a different sitting area for the groom's wedding party. One guest was quite unhappy and he had a point. We were moved from the prime sitting area that's a feature of the hotel. I think the hotel needs to identify some creative measures so they can continue to offer first class wedding services without diminishing services for other guests.

Overall a great place we recommend to others, with notes about areas that could be strengthened.
