Location

You'll fly into Gustaf III Airport (also known as Saint Barthélemy Airport) on St. Barts. You can connect via St. Maarten (SXM), which is the most convenient, though connecting through San Juan (SJU) will also work. US Airways, Delta, Continental, American Airlines and United all offer direct flights from the U.S. to St. Maarten. From there, you'll have a 10-minute shuttle flight. There are many options for direct flights to San Juan, though your shuttle flight from there will stop in St. Maarten first.

You'll likely want to rent a car to explore the vast high-end shopping and dining options, as well as venture to gorgeous secluded beaches. You're unlikely to drive longer than 20 minutes to anywhere on the island.

Our stay was fantastic

The accomodations, service and food were fantastic. Definitely would recommend Le Sereno to anyone looking at a vacation in St Barths. Concierge was fantastic, helped us line up all our meals and transportation. Only thing worth considering is that it is on the far end of the island so anytime you want to go to meal or one of the shopping areas, you need to travel 15-20 min.

Great Service; Average Accommodations

The staff members of Le Sereno are very impressive. Most split their time between the St Barts and Lake Como facilities, and they have been trained very well.

The accommodations are fine, but not overwhelming. There was still a lot of maintenance and upgrading going on while we were there, as they were still preparing for the peak season rush. The menu items at the restaurant were all very well prepared, but the menu itself is somewhat limited.

Amazing time in St. Barths!

Le Sereno did not disappoint! This was our first time in St. Barths and will not be our last! The hotel exceeded expectations from start to finish. The concierge was extremely helpful and attentive and all of the staff at the hotel/restaurant provided 5 star friendly service. The restaurant is very good and we loved the included breakfast! The hotel is quiet and only a short drive to town, so it is definitely recommended for couples looking to relax. We were able to rent a car through the hotel on site, which I definitely recommend. The beach is very small/narrow and was covered in seaweed, which was a little bit of a negative but not a deal breaker. Also, our room did have a little musty smell to it. Overall we will be back!

A nice boutique hotel on a beach

This was NOT a 5 start beachside luxury resort. So the value was about half of what it costs. The staff is friendly and nice but spotty at times. The service, especially at the pool was at times quite nice but sometimes nowhere to be found. At these prices one expects not adequecy but more a sense of being pampered which is certainly not the case. The rooms are very nice but not luxury in size or ammenities. The food was very good but not great. The beach is small and the bay is small (and narrow) too so you can forget about taking long sunset walks along the beach. The restaurant is very nice but not great. The concierge was ok but not great. For these prices I expected total luxury. But for a beachside boutique hotel at about half the price it would have been just fine. There are better places on the island. It was a fine vacation but nothing close to a true luxury resort I was expecting. Buyer beware.

Le Sereno

This was our first trip to St. Bart's and it will not be our last. We can't wait to go back and to stay at Le Sereno again. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is warm, friendly and fun. They all took such wonderful care of us and made us feel so welcome. The island is lovely and the restaurants and beaches are incredible.
