Awesome Place

Wymara is fantastic. A wonderful place and great views. The villas are magnificent. The only downsides are that currently there is no food on site at the Villas but that is being remedied with a new restaurant being opened. In addition, the villas are a bit of a drive to Grace Bay which is where the town is so if you're interested in being in town, it is a drive. The staff at Wymara is TOP NOTCH.

Beautiful home

This home has 4 bedrooms within the main home and 1 lower level bedroom ocean-facing home that is accessible only from the outside, not within the home. (It says 4 BRs on the website but one room doubles as an office and has bunkbeds, but no closet). Our host, Stephanie, was awesome! We enjoyed the complimentary in-home breakfasts (2 selections daily) but loved the buffet at the resort itself. The weather was sunny but incredibly windy, so much so that pool furniture blew into the pool, palm trees were bent, and the wind was so strong that it prevented us from sitting in the beautiful water-side areas. We spent a lot of time in the calm front area, which has a small pool, maybe 10 x 10, lounge chairs, tables and a contained area for kids to play. Having access to the spa, gym, pool, hot tub and restaurants at the Wymara resort was wonderful. We mostly relaxed, but snorkeling was great as well. Besides the main resort, there is also a beach area, bar service and pool within walking distance. We rented a car for "off campus" excursions. Within the resort, a call for a golf cart or shuttle gets you where you want. Beautiful home!

Wymara Villas, vacation was perfect from every aspect , place is amazing great location design is really interesting supper functional for group vacation. The staff is the best part of the experience people are truly caring and try to make your stay everything you want in a vacation.

Not a Five Star Experience

The property is beautiful, the villas are clean and the dock is amazing. In general, the people were very nice and helpful and we enjoyed the island, especially the excursions, quite a bit. There are a lot of restaurant options and we thought the food on the island was mostly very good. The hotel beach is quite lovely as well.

The villas are not six minutes away from the hotel, they are at least 15 minutes away. This means that room service and beach/sports club delivery takes at least an hour and the food is never hot. We ordered a pot of coffee and a side of bacon - it took 90 minutes; they forgot syrup for a pancake order when breakfast arrived, took an hour to get syrup. Plan accordingly. They will also charge villa delivery fees ($25 for a $12 pot of coffee) because their logistics are bad, and they don't provide a coffee pot in the villa, only an espresso maker. There was no hot water in the bathroom sinks the entire time, it took 10-15 minutes of running each shower to get warm, not hot, water. The courtyard pool was supposed to be heated and it never worked, it remained too cold to use during our entire visit.

The biggest issue for us, and the reason we could not recommend this property, was the villa management. The communication was frustrating and stressful, leading up to the trip and during/after. We started planning our itinerary in August, and the team would go weeks without responding to voice messages, texts and emails. A week before our trip, they were telling us they had to change golf dates/reservations/spa treatments as there was no availabilty (because they waited until the last minute to book things that were requested months in advance). I spent an unnecessary amount of time, and a frantic week before vacation, trying to make this right and we ended up getting it settled when a manager stepped in and made some calls. The onsite experience was no better - there were a lot of "miscommunications" between villa staff and vendors/transport that cost us money and time (they forgot to book a "private" tour for our large group, even though it was on the itinerary and confirmed that morning - we were surprised to find it was not, in fact, private once we arrived). If you visit, we strongly recommend bypassing villa staff altogether and arranging your own transportation, itinerary and excursions to avoid the constant stress and frustration we experienced.

Family Vacation Wymara

First and foremost Brendan was AMAZING! He helped me with all pre planning and was available for all of our family needs! AMAZING INSPIRATO SERVICE! The house was lovely and fit all of us easily. We felt safe and secure and the home was managed/maintained daily which was as great. I’m so happy with this trip.
