  • This home is located in the first row of oceanfront villas, just steps from the beach. Please note there is a spa cabana in the line of sight from the home to the ocean.

  • Cancellation policy: The Standard Inspirato Cancellation Policy applies for this property. Please note the Peak Reservation policy applies for Christmas and New Year’s weeks and certain other travel dates.
  • Maximum occupancy: Up to two additional guests are permitted over the stated occupancy. Additional guests are accommodated on a pull-out sleeper sofa.
  • Pet policy: Well-behaved dogs weighing 20 lbs. or less from within the State of Hawai’i are permitted for a fee of $40/day. Out-of-state dogs are also welcome for a $40/day fee, but must adhere to quarantine regulations according to Hawai’i State Law. Paradise plus

we had an amazing villa right on the beach at the Fairmont Kehlani, and although there was a little problem with the rain and flooding, the hotel was extremely helpful and moving us to a suite and moving all of our clothes and belongings for two nights until they could repair the villa and move us back.

Great Villa and Resort

The Hoku villa was great for my family for spring break over the last week of March 2024. We had 3 adults and 3 children and fit comfortably in the unit. The villa is located in a quiet spot that is a short walk to the beach. There is a great courtyard in front of the villa that was a good spot to hang out with the kids during the day to play catch or run around. We did not experience any events in the courtyard so it was very quiet all week. I would also note that the spa cabana was no longer in front of the unit so we there was no real traffic in front of our villa. The unit was recently updated and we were really happy with decor/furniture/closets/etc. The Fairmont main areas were also recently renovated and the lobby, gym, restaurants and pool were all top notch. The beach was perfect for kids, with soft sand and manageable waves all week. The kids loved renting boogie boards from the hotel to ride the waves.

I would recommend the new sushi restaurant and bar, Pilina, in the lobby for lunch, dinner or a drink. There is a great walking path right in front of the beach that allows you to walk down the coastline and stop in and check out other hotels and restaurants, including the Four Season and Grand Wailea. The concierge staff at the Fairmont was very helpful in booking activities and responded immediately via text to any questions or requests we had. We especially enjoyed the Waterfall/Rainforest Hike through Hike Maui and the surf lessons in Kihei through Maui Beach Bros.

Almost perfect

We come in winter to see the whales. Hoku is in a great location, right by the beach. The only criticism is that there are trees and bushes that obscure much of the view of the ocean. A little trimming would make relaxing outside by the villa's pool much more enjoyable by greatly increasing the amount of whale watching visibility.

The service by all staff members was outstanding.

Steps from the beach!

This trip was fantastic in every way! Beautiful property and beautiful villa. Room for all seven kids and myself and husband, We loved being just steps from the beach. The staff was so wonderful and helpful. We took advantage of the complimentary photo shoot and had the best experience. Great family photos at sunset! We loved it!

Beautiful Property!

This is by far, my favorite spot to stay in Maui (even over the Andaz!). This place is beautiful, serene, close to the ocean while still maintaining that island vibe.
