Why the Masters Practice Rounds are Almost Better Than the Tournament

The Masters is almost here, and we’re so excited to host Inspirato members and their guests in Augusta for one of the most iconic tournaments in golf. There are still a few spots left for our Practice Round Packages from April 2 to April 6—and we think it’s actually one of the best ways to experience the Masters, especially with Inspirato.

Read on to discover just what makes a Masters practice round so special.

I often say to friends, if going to the Masters is on their bucket list, join Inspirato and go with them because no one could do it better. From arrival to departure, every detail is handled perfectly! The welcome cocktail party, the dinner at The Rosemary Inn, the gifts in our room, ticketing, Club Magnolia, the Cadillac service and all the drivers. I could go on and on, but everything was just incredible.

Fewer crowds

Maneuvering around Augusta National gets tough at the height of the tournament. By getting there earlier, you’ll enjoy a more laid-back atmosphere and have the chance to scope out the best spots for optimal views of the fairway and enjoy shorter lines for food, drink, merchandise. (And the swag is less likely to sell out, too.)

Better views

Although they’ll always draw an inevitable crowd around them, stars like Tiger, Rory, Jordan, and more will be much easier to spot and follow than during the actual tournament. Plus, if you’re only staying for the practice rounds and will be watching the rest of the Masters from home, you’ll have a much better appreciation for the difficulty of the shots after getting the chance to walk the course and scope out different viewpoints without the push of the crowd, notes Golf Digest.

Incredible accommodations

Inspirato’s Masters accommodations range from rooms in the Southern, charming Rosemary Hall and Lookaway Inn to a full home like Golden Bell, perfect for larger groups. No matter which you choose, you’ll have the perfect home base to head back to after a day out on the course.

Plus, Inspirato’s hospitality center at Club Magnolia is just down the road from the course—there, you’ll enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment, as well as complimentary transportation via Cadillac. From receptions and cocktail hours to a college basketball championship watch party, you’ll have the chance to get to know your fellow members who love golf just as much as you.
