This half-mile boardwalk winds through preserved island mangroves and five distinct habitats, allowing visitors to observe wildlife in their natural environments.

Split in two by a tide-driven lagoon, Tigertail’s inner beach features a calm lagoon perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking. The outer beach is reached by wading across a shallow lagoon and walking on a narrow path to Sand Dollar Island.

With the Gulf of Mexico and Ten Thousand Islands in its backyard, Marco provides year-round in- and offshore sportfishing. Hire a captain to take you offshore to find grouper, snapper, cobia, tuna, and king mackerel.
Situated in southwest Florida on its Paradise Coast, Marco Island is a relaxing tropical destination. With an area of 24 square miles, it’s smaller than its neighbor to the north, Naples, but still offers plenty to do, from deep sea sportfishing to boating and paddling its 100 miles of waterways. Go shelling on sun-drenched beaches, explore some of Florida's most well-preserved natural areas, and find plenty of charming restaurants with fresh seafood. For an adventure, make the 90-minute drive to the Everglades to cruise by alligators and other wildlife on an iconic airboat tour.
Marco Island summers are long, hot, wet, and mostly cloudy. The winters are short, comfortable, and mostly clear. The best time of year to visit Marco Island for warm-weather activities is from late October to early May.
