Location

Inspirato SoHo at The Dominick is located approximately 40 minutes from any of the three major New York airports: LaGuardia (LGA), John F. Kennedy (JFK), or Newark (EWR). Travelers from East Coast cities such as Boston, Providence, New Haven, or the Washington D.C. areas can also travel by train to Penn Station, which is only two miles from the hotel. We do not recommend driving in New York; the city’s extensive public transportation system and abundance of taxis make getting around without a car easy. Even better, your hotel is located in the heart of Lower Manhattan with endless restaurants, shops, galleries, and activities within walking distance, and an easy cab or subway ride to world-famous New York locales Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Wall Street, and the One World Trade Center.

The Dominik NYC

The concierge team was wonderful. They booked everything and it was perfect. The view at the Dominik was breathtaking.

Nice hotel in Lower Manhatan

Hotel is very nice. The room is a bit small but that might be expected for NYC. There was construction in front of the hotel which made getting an Uber tricky at times but the front door team is very good. There was a line for the elevators often and they pack too many people into the elevators for my taste. Lastly, the hallway was freezing. It was unusually cool for August but the hallway was entirely too cold.

Losing its luster

This should probably go in the hotel list rather than the “property" list. No concierge service really anymore. Do nothing personable. Just another guest. Which is okay. Elevators take forever. We had to stay past our reservation due to inclement weather and paid $2,100 anight for a non Inspirato small suite. Definitely feel taken advantage of.

That being said. The staff there (doormen,cleaners) were great. Soho is a nice neighborhood although would prefer mid-town somewhere where there's more walkable action. It's $50 for an Uber anywhere.

All in all, it's NYC so you know what you're getting yourself into. But I'll say with this one, Inspirato was no added value here.

I've stayed here 3 times. The SOHO neighborhood is perfect for walking around shopping, eating, and drinking. The rooms are spacious with incredible views! Great service every time! Make sure to make pool reservations before you arrive, as the pool often fills up on nice days and you need a reservation.
