Location

You can fly into either San Francisco International Airport (SFO) or Oakland International Airport (OAK). We recommend San Francisco, though you may encounter more traffic getting from the city to the valley. The drive from either airport is about 90 minutes. Virtually all major airlines fly into both airports.

If you're staying in one of our Healdsburg properties, you may not want a car; you're just blocks from all the dining and wineries of the Healdsburg Plaza main square. From the other residences, a rental car is recommended, as you'll want to explore the countryside. Alternatively, your Destination Concierge is happy to arrange a car service.

Happy in Healdsburg

Healdsburg is a place to be happy and we definitely were. Brittany made sure we found all the options for parking and spent time giving us her favorite restaurants, shoppes and wineries. Sitting in front of the fireplace at Wheelman House was lovely at night. Meals were memorable as was shopping and the wineries. Everyone definitely needs to visit Marine Layer tasting room in town, but also do the beautiful back road drives to Wren Hop ( the only restaurant you can get them at is The French Laundry) and Jolie-Laide ( no fancy tasting room, you go to the production center which is a treat. This winery specializes in the unique wines that Sonoma produces, not the typical chardonnay or pinot noir). And of course, the little boutiques in Healdsburg have treasures.

Planning to head back late February or March for another round of wine, food, shopping and relaxation.

Healdsburg was a dream!

The Inspirato trip to Healdsburg in Sonoma County was incredible. Our local guide helped us create an awesome 3 day 4 night 3 day itinerary for a NYE trip. The food in Healdsburg is out of this world; the options, the quality, and of course the wine to go along with it.

The Wheelman house was also really great. You're right in town so you get to walk to everything which is super convenient. The rooms are awesome and the shared patio was really nice to have with a small group. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Location! Accommodation!

Stayed at the Bohemian for 4 nights over 4th of July weekend. This place was spectacular! We had 2 rooms connected by an outside courtyard with fireplace. It was perfect for our 2 couples. Each room was well appointed with all the amenities one could possibly need. The rooms were large with large bathrooms. The architecture and interior design choices in each room was ON POINT! There were designated parking spaces which came in handy with the holiday weekend’s crowded streets. There were vouchers to use each day at the Oakville grocery on the corner (delicious choices for breakfast and lunch foods) There is ground coffee in each room to make your own coffee to your desired strength (vs pods or pre packed pouches) Our destination planner and concierge were excellent and thorough. Loved it here and will return. Lastly, it is 1 block from the town square.

A cool hidden residence!

This is a nicely designed modern residence that feels surprisingly secluded given that the property is literally right next to a parking lot with a bar on the other side of it. The designer did a good job making the place feel like a private and secluded space, including the private courtyard area with a gas fireplace situated between the two units.

While the property has very good sound proofing, we still did hear some noise from the bar as well as the parking lot at night although luckily that subsided by 10pm.

The other issue we had was with insects (flys, mosquitos, spiders). We found we could not open the unit doors without having insects fly enter and there are no screens on the doors nor any windows with screens. If you are fine with using the central air system the entire time, this probably won't be an issue for you and also opening the doors does lead to hearing more city noise

The location is only about a block away from the town square, so is convenient to walk to places downtown. We also enjoyed the included giftcards to the little deli/grocery on the same block, as well as access to the fitness center, which is about a 5 minute drive away.

Wonderful location. Nice room set up.

The best thing about Wheelman House is that it's 1 block from Healdsburg Square. We walked everywhere, except for the 15 minute drive to the Dry Creek winery region.

The rooms have a lot of space. The outdoor courtyard with seating and a gas lit fireplace was great. In April it's still a little cold at night in Sonoma but with the fire and blankets, we enjoyed being outside.

Brittany, the local concierge booked us a couple of great meals. She's very proactive and left very clear instructions for check in, check out.
