Location

You'll fly into Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR). From the U.S., you'll connect via Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or another major European city. (There are also direct flights into Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport, about 60 miles west of Florence.)

You won't need a car in this destination; in fact, tourists generally can't even drive within the city limits. Fortunately, you'll stay in the heart of the city, where you can walk to many attractions. For something a little farther, such as a trip to Chianti country, your Destination Concierge can arrange for a driver. You'll also be conveniently close to the rail station, and we highly recommend making an easy day trip to Milan, Venice or Rome.

In the Middle of Florence

While I've been to Florence before, I've never stayed within walking distance of everything or had the chance to do a deep dive into everything Florence as we did with Limonaia. Everyone loved it.

Tuscan Adventure

La Limonaia was a classy high end villa with private pool and two "houses" for total five bedrooms. Located near the heart of Florence it was very accessible to explore entire city. We also took a jaunt to Sienna / San Gimignano where we had an energetic tour guide arranged by ISPO days before the famous Palio di Siena! Nadia was our planner and took great care in arranging a variety of tours we had requested as first timers to the region. Laura was concierge and catered to our every need checking in frequently and daily, taking the stress out of the visit and making us focus on memories, which we made plenty.

La Limonaia

This is such a beautiful home in the heart of Florence. There are 5 full en-suite bedrooms. Perfect for multiple families. The only downside is there are no 2 bedrooms on the same floor, so difficult with small children. Other than that, the home is beautiful and well maintained. The local staff are wonderful and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Florence Holiday

We spent Christmas at La Limonaia and it was beautiful. The villa is beautifully decorated and it was warm and comfortable. It is located within walking distance to everything including shopping, museums and some really great restaurants. Have the Chef come in and prepare a Pizza party. Everything he made was delicious. We hopped on the train for a day trip to Venice which was also amazing. It was my favorite Inspirato vacation so far.

Fantastic Florence House and Experience

We had a tremendous experience with our Florence trip, from every aspect. The Destination Planner, Nadia, was the best that we have ever had with Inspirato. Her proactive communications, wonderful suggestions for restaurants and excursions, expert planning of every detail, and her responsiveness were all top notch. The wine tour, day trips to Siena and other towns, museum tours, private chef, cooking class and restaurants were perfect. Simone our Concierge was extremely responsive, attentive and available whenever we needed him! The house is fantastic; very cozy, warm and spacious. Besides the primary bedroom, the guest house has the best bedrooms, as the basement and top floor bedrooms are as not comfortable, so it was perfect for us since we only need 3 bedrooms. It is a great location and we could walk every where to really enjoy the city of Florence! This has been our best trip with Inspriato from all aspects!
