Location

You'll fly into Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH), located mid-island, roughly 15 minutes (max) from everything on the island. US Airways Express services this airport, with connections from Charlotte and Washington, DC.

Once you arrive, you may want to rent a car for convenience. We recommend renting a car through club partner Avis. Beautiful Palmetto Dunes

I love Palmetto Dunes and this location is excellent within the resort community. The house is quiet and very close to a beautiful beach. It is on a dead end with very little traffic. It is a two minute walk to the beach which is also very quiet with few people. The house is lovely although there is a great deal of wasted space. For example, this house has 6 bedrooms and capacity for 12 but there is no table large enough for a large family meal. Inside the house, there are two small round tables for 6 in two different rooms. If you want to have a sit down meal for a crowd, you have to go out to the screened in porch and even there, ten is very tight. We had a chef two nights for 9 people and we sat on the screened in porch and it was fine but you won't want to be there in very hot or cool weather. A desk somewhere in the house would help those trying to work remotely. Some of the bedrooms have no dresser or drawer space. In addition, perhaps we were just there at the wrong time of the year, but the trees above the pool drop lots of leaves and moss into the pool and hot tub. If you are swimming, you will be spending a lot of time skimming to get the debris out of the pool and hot tub and despite best efforts you will be swimming with the moss and leaves again an hour later. I asked for an extra day of cleaning off the chairs, pool deck and pool and they did do that one time during our stay given the large amount of debris resulting from windy weather. Gail is a wonderful concierge and always available for questions and recommendations. She is a pleasure to deal with.

Great Time Great House

House well setup, block from the beach. Great restaurants and golf courses in the area. The cookware needs to be replaced is the only issue but we may it work.

Beautiful home in Hilton Head

Our family of 9 felt very much at home during our stay at Heron House. A beautiful and well appointed house with a great location. Great kitchen with everything needed to cook dinners and entertain. We would certainly stay here again

Great Family Time!

We love the Hilton Head area, the people, the environment, the Inspirato houses, the activities close by, especially in the Palmetto Dunes area. Amazing restaurants are only a short drive away. Our family especially enjoys the beach, even in January when it is cold. Gayle is an exceptional host that we look forward to seeing again on our next trip to HH family trip.

Heron House-- HHI

We always have great trips to HHI. Gayle and her team were great. They went out of there way to get a cake and balloons for our son's birthday.

Heron House was very nice, second row and conveniently located to the beach. Plenty of space and our kids liked the "movie room" seats.

The Golf Center is very nice, and they have a driving range system that mimics a top golf. The tennis and pickleball facility also have plenty of courts and great pro's.

Only comment we noticed with the house is that it has several stairs on the first floor, so it could make a multi generational a little difficult if there are any mobility issues.
