  • The primary bedroom and bedroom two are located on the main level.
  • Motorcycles, trailers, golf carts, travel trailers, and Jet Skis are prohibited on Kiawah Island.
  • The elevator in this home is not available to guests and may only be used to move luggage.
  • March through June and September through November are the busiest times of year for golf on Kiawah Island and tee times book out far in advance. If you are traveling during those times, please connect with your dedicated Inspirato destination planner as soon as possible to ensure you have the best options for availability on the Kiawah golf courses. Contact your Care team for more information.
  • Please note that you will not have access to the following Kiawah Island Golf Resort amenities. The Sanctuary Pool, Night Heron Pool the West Beach Pool Complex, and The Sanctuary fitness center.
  • Please note we are only able to reserve spa service appointments 24 hours before at the Sanctuary Spa. The Dunlin’s Aster Spa allows for advanced appointments.

The closest airport is Charleston International Airport (CHS), about an hour's drive from Kiawah Island. Bicycle rentals are one of the most popular ways to get around the island. Your Destination Concierge is happy to discuss and make any arrangements for transportation.

Kiawah in summer

Stayed at Whimbrel. Large family group. Totally appreciated the good sized pool for both the kids and adults. Summer in Kiawah is HOT!

Guys enjoyed golf and ladies ventured out to the Dunlin (also now on Inspirato) for a spa treatment and a cocktail.

As usual service was great. Chilled bottle of bubbly awaiting us on arrival as well as a local “tomato pie"!

Groceries carefully chosen, wine chilled, received a text each morning from Marge to see if we needed anything.

Home was clean and crew came in mid trip to change out sheets, clean baths and kitchen.

Maintenance of home is good and appears well cared for.

Outdoor grill was great for poolside burgers with the kids

Enjoyed lots of island restaurants as well as walking paths and the beach.

We will be back!

Anniversary Trip

This home was lovely in every way. Pool was great; rooms were spacious and well appointed! Marge kindly had the fridge stocked and took note of our preferences from past trips to the island. We enjoyed bike rides to the beach, amazing meals at the resort, and poolside cocktails daily. We might never leave. Would definitely book this home again, with or without kids!

Relaxing before the Holidays

Whimbrel is a magnificent house on Kiawah Island, easily sleeping 8, but we went just the two of us. Total relaxation in a wonderful setting. Heated pool and hot tub contributed to our daily zen. Living floor is so comfortable and there are many places to sit and read. Our concierge, Marge, was perfect. Local Kiawah restaurants fed us well.

Great family vacation!

We met our kids and grandchildren (so six adults and three children 3 and under) for a long weekend at Whimbrel. The home is beautiful, spacious and well laid out, and the screened porch and pool areas are great. The pool has an easy-to-use cover (more peace of mind with active toddlers). We sent golf clubs and a few other items ahead of time, and our concierge brought them to the house, along with a big grocery order. Anthony was awesome - he met us at check-in, answered questions quickly throughout the weekend, and was so helpful with anything we needed. Iron Clay catering prepared an amazing meal one night - such a treat without having to get a sitter! The beach, which is beautiful and wasn't crowded, is a bit of a trek with littles - best to have one person drop off at boardwalk and then go park. Another option is bike with a trailer for kids and gear. Jasmine Porch at The Sanctuary was great for breakfast. We weren't able to secure reservations at the resort's Ocean Room (if you're not staying there, you can't request reservations until 7 days in advance), but Hege's in Freshfields Village was a nice option. We definitely want to return!

A breeze

House is fabulous. Brand new I believe. Great kitchen with a small sitting area, dining table and then a great living room with a fireplace and tv. A wonderful place to hang out and cook and gather. Great porch off kitchen and deck overlooking back yard. Pool and hot tub -wonderful. Location was terrific. Easy to bike ride to beach, tennis courts and everywhere in between. Kiawah is such an easy place to vacation with young and old. Can't go wrong and this was a great house. Think all bedrooms have king sized beds and a great pull out couch. Would book this house again in a minute. Concierge team-also first rate. Thanks so much for a great vacation.
