Additional Information:

Cancellation policy: The Standard Inspirato Cancellation Policy applies for this property. Please note the Peak Reservation policy applies for Christmas and New Year’s weeks and certain other travel dates.
Maximum occupancy: One additional guest is permitted over the stated occupancy at the rate of $50 per night. The additional guest can be accommodated on a twin air mattress.
Pet policy: No pets allowed.

Location

If you fly directly to the island, you’ll land at Nantucket Memorial Airport (ACK). From June through September, JetBlue, United, Delta, and American Airlines all offer service here. Year-round, Cape Air, Island Airlines, and Nantucket Airlines offer flights. You can also take the Hy-Line passenger ferry, which departs from the town of Hyannis on Cape Cod.

Since Nantucket is just 47 square miles, you won't have a long drive or ride to any Inspirato home. You'll likely want to rent a car to make getting around easy. Inspirato members receive exclusive benefits through the invitation-only Avis President’s Club.

Shear Perfection

I keep returning to Shearwater for many reasons. The marsh views, the design and functionality of the floorplan for any size group, and the location. Ann is a gem with quick response time and great ideas.

Beautiful view overlooking the water

This home offers stunning panoramic views and plenty of natural light from the surrounding windows. Ann, the concierge, was wonderful—very attentive and accommodating to our needs. We drove into town, though it's approximately a 20-minute walk away.

The only downside was the bathroom arrangement. It wasn't clear that only 2 of the 5 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms—the primary bedroom on the first floor and the queen bedroom upstairs. The other 3 bedrooms share bathrooms, with one located downstairs connected to the laundry room. The listing mentioned 5 bedrooms and 5 full baths, which led me to assume each bedroom had its own bathroom, but there were no photos except for the primary bathroom.

For families with children, sharing hall bathrooms might not be an issue, but we had 9 adults who preferred private bathrooms. Despite this, we all managed well and had a fantastic time!

Wonderful in Nantucket!

We had a wonderful time at Shearwater in Nantucket. The house was perfect; we loved the beautiful design inside and out, incredible views across the sound and a quiet, but very convenient location. Five Stars, we would do it again!!

photos don’t do this home justice

We’ve been coming to Nantucket for over 20 years so it’s definitely a family fave! We were so pleasantly surprised by this charming, authentic Nantucket cottage for our long fall weekend. Admittedly hesitant when we found out the location was behind the Marine Home Center, it had STUNNING views, was convenient to town, mid island grocery and restaurants, and easy to access the walking / bike paths. It was also quiet, at least during this fall weekend. The renovations bring this home up to date while the decor stays true to Nantucket charm. The home was spacious and very comfortable and we hope it stays in the portfolio! I cannot forget to mention Reece, our concierge who made sure we had everything we needed, and had the most gracious, warm attitude!

Shearwater, a place to call home

Shearwater was perfect for our family of nine, 6 adults and 3 children. We felt at home the minute we stepped on the property. Beautiful grounds with a gorgeous view of the harbor from the house and yard. Our little boys had the time of their lives chasing the bunny rabbits and running around the spacious yard. The little utility house in the back is a great photograph location with climbing roses, etc. It was charming! The location of the house was ideal for walking to town, to the harbor, just about anywhere. It was a dream vacation. Thank you Inspirato!
