You'll fly into Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), which is about a 30-mile drive from Palmetto Bluff. Delta and US Airways offer the most daily flights here, though you can also fly on American Airlines and JetBlue. Southern Gem in the Bluff

Coronet Cottage is the perfect size house for 6-8 adults. We loved that it came with a golf cart, which is necessary to enjoy PB. The inside is very nicely appointed, but with all INSP properties, they need attention on porches, cushions and rugs....otherwise it would have been rated a 5. We rented on the end of the year cycle, so make sure when booking you ask for the porches and rugs to be steam cleaned or washed down. It's right next to the Market, which is really convenient. The Bluff is an incredible destination, and Coronet Cottage is a sweet property, it just needs a little more love and attention.

Big Big Fans of Palmetto Bluff

Palmetto Bluff has been on our vacation list every year for 5 years. We love everything about this plantation resort but are especially fond of how peaceful it is both day and night. With 22,000 acres to explore by walking, biking, or golf cart, there is always something to do and see.

One thing to note about Palmetto Bluff is that they restrict the use of the pool amenity, eliminating that as an activity option. However, there are kayaks and paddleboards to rent so alternative water sports are available. In addition, Palmetto Bluff has reduced access to a handful of restaurants but nearby Bluffton offers many choices.

We look forward to being back again next year.

Family Favorite

This was our 5th trip to Palmetto Bluff and won't be our last! We loved riding bikes, kayaking, swimming in the pool, visiting the tree houses on property and eating in the wonderful on-property restaurants. This trip we even went over to Hilton Head to the beach one day.

Palmetto Bluff is a beautiful property set on the banks of the May River. If you have never been, I promise it will quickly become a favorite of your family's too.

Megan was great and we look forward to going back soon.

True Low Country Experience

Adorable house in a Mayberry-like neighborhood gives true Low Country experience!

House is very comfortable and spacious. Back deck is fully screened in (necessary in SC for bugs) that allowed us to eat almost all meals outside.

If you have never experienced the low country, this is the place to do it. Bikes or golf carts are the mode of transportation in this quiet, safe and family friendly neighborhood on 20,000 acres providing a relaxing family getaway. The Low Country is a unique part of our country that is begging to be explored.

We loved our kayak tour with Outside Palmetto Bluff that took us to sandbar to explore. We saw lots of wild life including dolphins, crabs, bird and turtles.

The 4 hour fishing/crabbing/shrimping experience with May River Excursions was a blast. The time flew by! On our way to the different fishing spots, we got a tour of the low country from the water. Lots of wild life spotted again - including our boat being surrounded by dolphins! Best part, we were able to take everything home that we caught for dinner!

Included with the house is access to the Canoe Club pool club - located right on the river. Huge pool, several hot tubs, snack/beverage bar and a great view were a fun place to spend the afternoon. Bonus - every evening there are smores at the fire pit by the River! Instant Family Fun!

Note: We visited in October, so things seemed to close early/or during the week.

Catching Dinner!Sunset boat ride to dinner.

Family Birthday Celebration

My husband, his parents, sisters and I celebrated 80th and 60th birthdays together at Coronet Cottage. We had to postpone our trip due to COVID and traveled shortly after South Carolina opened. Coronet Cottage was lovely and the perfect place to be together and socially distance from others. Megan, our destination planner was the best, and we loved having Chef Anuschka and John two evenings and cooking for ourselves the rest of the time. We enjoyed golfing, fishing and crabbing, and a sunset cruise with a local captain during our stay. There are so many things to do at Palmetto Bluff we didn't take advantage of and hope to go back sometime.
