Location

There are several airports servicing London, but you'll have the most options if you fly into Heathrow (LHR) or Gatwick (LGW) Airports. From LHR, this residence is about a 45-minute taxi ride or a 15-minute tube ride (to the Hyde Park Corner stop, just a few blocks away). From LGW, you can take the Gatwick Express, a non-stop train from the airport to Victoria Station, which is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel.

Once in London, it's quite easy to get around, so we do not recommend renting a car. Taxis are readily available and the public transportation system is extensive. Private transportation is also an option and can be arranged by your concierge.

Paddington - great space and location in London

Excellent accomodations and great service at the COMO. 2BR offering is spacious, quiet, and well furnished. Access to all ammenities at the COMO was a plus. Convenient Mayfair location provides easy access to a varienty of shops, restaurants, pubs etc.

Very nice accommodations in a convenient area

My family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenagers) stayed in London for 3 days. Paddington and the Como Metropolitan hotel are located in Mayfair, a very convenient spot for getting on and off the tube or walking to several parks. The Como concierge was very helpful in making reservations needed and the staff was very prompt in attending to any needs we had during our stay.

We rode the tube for all of our sightseeing and it is very easy to get to all the major landmarks. Be prepared for a lot of walking but the streets and subways are easy to navigate.

Two comments regarding the Paddington unit itself. Its entrance is around the corner from the hotel's main entrance so you have to walk back to the hotel to get breakfast in the mornings. Also, the furniture in the unit feels dated and the bed and bedding isn't sufficient enough for a good night's sleep. The mattress is uncomfortable and the bedding is very minimal. There are no rugs on the floor in any room which makes for a less than homey feeling.

Overall a nice stay but not as up to the Inspirato standards as I have seen in other Inspirato residences.

Amazing staff, great location

Como’s location is perfect for a family trip to London. I can’t say enough about the concierge staff, particularly Robert. The staff went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable, had all of our reservations set, and seemed to genuinely care that we were having a good time. The unit was nice, spacious, and well maintained. The only issues were (1) the beds weren’t very comfortable and that added some issues when adjusting for jet lag, and (2) the unit was situated such that it was noisy in the middle of the night. Overall I’d recommend the Como primarily because they have a top notch staff.

All Around Amazing!!!!

London was such an amazing experience for our family of five. We took the train from the airport to the hotel and had just a short walk from the station. The service at the hotel was top rate. We were greeted and treated wonderfully by the manager and concierge. The apartment is beautiful! We felt so at home in the space. The adorable courtyard was s fun bonus. The location was wonderful. We were able to quickly walk for breakfast and dinner just a few blocks away. The nightlife in the little neighborhood was delightful. We took advantage of the nearby parks for walking and playing ball with our sons. The hop on hop off bus stop is just across the street. We highly recommend getting a pass and doing this tour right away. It really helps you get a feel for the layout of the city. The tube is also very close. We used this transportation many times. It felt safe and easy to navigate. Buckingham Palace was my favorite tour. The audio guide was very current and covered many different aspects of royal life as well as the decore. The palace is an easy walk from the apartment. The whole family loved The Play That Went Wrong. We highly suggest catching a show and enjoying dinner or a dessert in the area. Other tours we enjoyed were the Tower of London (go just when it opens and head straight to the Crown Jewels to save yourself an hour in line) and Windsor Palace. We thought the actual town of Windsor was just as cool as palace grounds. And the London Eye was pretty cool too. We will absolutely return to this location!

Amazing location in London!

The staff at The Metropolitan was outstanding and the suite was perfect. We were located right near Hyde Park and a short distance walking or taking the tube to anywhere.
