The beach at the resort is a wonderful place to lay out and build sandcastles but is not recommended for swimming. There are many swimmable beaches 10 to 15 minutes away in each direction.

Cancellation policy: The Cape’s cancellation policy varies by length of stay, season, and notice given prior to canceling. For specific cancellation information regarding your travel dates, please contact your Care team. All refunds will be in the form of Travel Credits.
Maximum occupancy: The maximum occupancy of this suite is three. There is a fee of $40 plus taxes and fees per person per night. One rollaway may be placed in the room for a fee of $50 plus taxes and fees per person per night. Rollaway beds must be requested prior to arrival and are subject to hotel availability.
Pet policy: Pets allowed with advance notice, subject to availability, fees and weight limits.

Location

Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is located at San José del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The airport serves the Los Cabos area: San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Most major airlines offer service here, with frequent flights from Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, Denver, Chicago, and Seattle. Without traffic, the Cape Hotel is about a 40-minute drive from the airport.

The concierge desk at the hotel can arrange transportation during your stay upon your request or you can rent a vehicle from Inspirato partner Avis beforehand. We do recommend exploring the nearby towns and all that Los Cabos has to offer.

The Cape Cabo San Lucas

We stayed at The Cape in Cabo over New Years 2019/2020. Headline is "we would go back and may go back next year". Additional detail. If you are expecting a One and Only Palmilla experience, you will be disappointed. The Cape is definitely a notch or two below. The difference would equate to a JW Marriott (perfectly fine) to a Ritz Carlton (luxury) experience. The Cape drive-up, welcome, check-in process is not great. The rooms are good, not great. What is great is the nightlife (music, rooftop bar), food/dining experiences, and the beach (good for surfing not swimming, but really lovely views and waves to listen to crashing on the beach). Service is good, definitely good enough for us, but again not a top top notch experience. Like I said, we would go back but I would reset my expectation as it relates to the hotel itself and overall experience not being top top notch.

Incredable views, accomodations and service.

This resort is spectacular. The views are incredible. The weather is perfect. The service is excellent. It was a terrific trip and wewould highly recommend it.

Outstanding Weekend Getaway!

The Cape is a wonderful property located between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. We stayed in a Junior Suite and I suggest you do the same unless you need the larger accommodations. The Junior Suites are located in the main hotel building and they face south so you do not get the blinding and hot setting sun in the afternoon. It was roomy, clean the view was spectacular.

The food was just fantastic as well. I ate way too much but I was set on trying everything on the pool menu. Blackened fish sandwich, octopus and shrimp tacos (they'll make a combo if you request it), ceviche, nachos - all excellent. The restaurants are also great, especially Manta. We sat outside and in March, it was actually a bit on the cool side and I could not have been happier.

The rooftop bar was really nice as well. Very unique as I am unsure there is anything like it anywhere else in Cabo.

I have been vacationing in Cabo for more than 30 years and there is simply no doubt that our experience at The Cape was among the best I have ever had. Enjoy!

PS. Best cucumber and jalapeno margarita ever!

Great Cabo hotel experience

The junior suite was perfect for a couple. We loved the daybed on the balcony and the views were stunning. You could hear the surf with all of the doors closed, as the hotel is so close to the beach. The staff was fantastic and the food was very good. We will definitely be back.
