October Vacation- Punta De Mita

I went to Puna De Mita with my 8 YO daughter. The overall planning was easy and helpful. We were quite active. Some of the things we took part in-

Breakfast each morning- the selection was as expected but we made slight changes along the way that were accommodated. This is a no brainer. Nice way to start the day.

Lunch- We did have lunch cooked for us at the house a few times. Way worth the money, time, hassle, etc.. Would highly recommend. Pricing was very fair.

Dinner- We had an in-house cook one night and a dinner drop off another night. Again would highly recommend.

These meals took a lot of stress out of planning on what we were going to do for meals. Always had leftovers to snack on too.

We also ordered from the beach bar a few times and had pizza delivered.

Overall, the food experience was an A+.

We did not rent a car. We had transportation arranged to and from the airport. Upon arrival, the driver did stop at the grocery store and waited for us to do some shopping which was great. For our other activities, we had transportation arranged. It cost some money, but probably equaled the cost of a larger rental car that we would have needed for our bags. And we didn't have to drive. Would do the same thing again for sure.

We did take part in activities and I asked my daughter to rank her favorite.

#1- Ziplining- great experience even if you've done it before.

#2- Swam with Dolphins/Sea Otters. Expensive but a lot of fun.

#3- Nayarit Uncovered- This was an awesome day trip with unforgettable scenery. The guide was awesome. Would highly recommend.

#4- Sunset horseback riding- Only because we are spoiled and had done this a number of times at other places.

I would do all 4 of those things again.

We also had a ride into Sayulita for a half day trip. Would recommend that as well.

The place was great. Kids are easily entertained with all of the pools and close by beach.

I have been to Real Del Mar a few times. As an adult, I prefer Real Del Mar. My daughter would prefer Punta De Mita. Take it for what its worth!

lovely, but likely one and done

We have been to most of the Inspirato Mexico locations so we decided to try Punta de Mita, too. The villa (Cassa Tierra) was what you'd expect - similar to the units at Esperanza in Cabo. Really spacious and lovely. The plunge pool that was part of he villa was great, but the building pool, which was right outside our door was amazing and empty so we used it every day. There is NO drink or food service at the building pool, to note. The beach is a 2 minute walk from the villa, but here's where it doesn't measure up to other Mexico properties. there were maybe 5 lounge chairs which were aways in use. They were rickety and more or less random on the beach. There were some (like a few) random coffee table chairs, but it just didn't make for a nice beach experience. There was also a lot of oil slicks mixed in with the sand and a lot of trash on the shores. I would walk the beach every morning, which was about 2.5 miles, so while the trash - bottles, wrappers, dead fish, and shoes were washed up it took away from the beauty that is natural to the area. there was also a lot of construction in the area around the resort. There was a small bar at the beach where you could order drinks and food. We ordered nachos one afternoon and they were horrible - mirowaved and soggy. The ocean was lovely - fun waves and a great temperature. The best part of the trip was Israel - our concierge. He was responsive to every question and request. Also - to note, we had (twice) at the resort store and at the first place we went for lunch overcharges on our purchases so check your bills carefully! The food at the resort was solid -not amazing, but for us non-foodie types, solid. Breakfast in the villa was prepared by our housekeeper and it was also mid. And it was so convenient to have breakfast made in the Villa each morning. Overall, we are happy we went and we are happy to not go back. Honestly, I think if youre a family with young kids and you don't mind cooking in the villa mostly- the resort is a great option. We won't go back. Hope this helps!

Incredible 60th Birthday Celebration

See full review under Las Maravillas

We had 5 villas which were beautiful. I loved that each villa had its own pool, the building had a pool and the resort as a whole also had a pool. I stayed in Las Maravillas which was the oceanfront penthouse. Amazing views. Las Brisas is also a penthouse, but further from the beach but also with an amazing view. They are on the top floor of what I believe is a 5 story building. Both of these are a good choice if views are important. We also had people stay in Villa Piedras, Casa Emilia and Casa Tierra. They are all next to each other on the main floor. There is less of a view, but the access to the building's pool is phenomenal. First you have your villa's pool, then you walk outside your gate and you are at the building's pool. You can run in and grab food and drinks, go to the bathroom, etc. The pools were heated to my kind of temperature, nice and warm. I don't like cold water, and the temperature was ideal. (FYI, Las Brisas is in this same building) Another advantage to these units is they are close to the little store and if you like to order specialty coffees, like lattes and cappuccinos, I believe they are available there even though we never did. I believe the gym is also right next to these units.

Great for families, nice beach.

Ground floor unit with private, small heated pool and easy access to the rest of the resort which was so convenient! Lots of pools to choose from and a nice, swimmable beach kept everyone busy (kids ages 4&7). Spice Market and Beach-side ceviche bar and W resort were great! Punta Mercedes for dinner in Punta Mita (25 min drive) is highly recommended. Eventhough there is ongoing construction next door, we didn't hear any construction noise while there.

Dorians (concierge) was great and housekeeping service with breakfast was top notch!

Beautiful Grounds, Great Service, Noisy Neighbors

First time staying at Los Veneros. Wanted to try it out after staying at Real Del Mar a few years back. Stayed here over New Year's Week. Top notch destination planning service with Jamie, and Eduardo who had been our destination concierge back at Real Del Mar was again our excellent destination concierge here, always available to help out with anything we needed. We thought the Los Veneros grounds were beautiful, liked the easy access to restaurants at the W next door, and enjoyed the beach and the well-equipped on site gym. Used the chef service for dinner on 2 of the nights which was delicious and also an excellent value (probably 1/10th of the price we paid for a chef in Hawaii this past summer). Only reason for 4 stars out of 5 is the noise factor - neighbors on both sides of us and above blasting music, movement from the upstairs neighbors at all hours, etc. Preferred the privacy of the Real Del Mar homes over this, and if we were to return, would probably elect to stay in one of the top floor units in the building that directly faces the ocean. All that said, we had a nice time, very pleased with the Inspirato services, and glad we tried something new.
