Getting Around

Many travelers opt to fly into Denver International Airport (DEN), about 180 miles from Steamboat Springs, and rent a car. Or, you can fly into Hayden Airport (HDN), which is about 22 miles west of Steamboat Springs off Highway 40. Commuter service is provided year-round to Denver by United Express. During the summer, you'll connect through Denver International Airport via United Express.

For a day of skiing or exploring the town, you can get by just fine without a car, as Steamboat Springs is quite compact and offers shuttle service. To thoroughly explore the mountains in the surrounding area, we recommend renting a car through Club partner Avis.
