The borgo (like the English "borough") where Villa Collina is located is set within a private estate originally built by the Aringhieri del Porrina family, members of the esteemed Longobard nobility. Each stay here reflects these 14th century roots but also thrives in the modern care we place on every detail; restoring the home, stone by stone as well as equipping your villa with air conditioning, fireplaces, and a pizza oven. With a convenient drive, the treasures of Florence, styles of Siena, and stone glories of medieval hill towns are just beyond your front door.
The most convenient airport is Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR). From the U.S., you'll connect via Paris, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt or another major European city. (There are direct flights into Pisa's Galileo Galilei Airport, about 60 miles west of Florence.)
From Florence, you'll drive about 45-60 minutes to reach your residence, depending on the region. You'll likely want to rent a car in order to explore the hill towns, Siena and other beautiful places in the vast countryside. Club partner Avis is happy to help. If you prefer transportation service from the airport or want to explore wineries and other sites, just let your Destination Concierge know.
