The opportunity to make new marine discoveries here is staggering: some 340 species of coral and more than 1,400 marine species reside in these waters. Visibility is outstanding and the resort offers a number of daily excursions. Don't forget about the night dives, when different species, including small bamboo sharks, make an appearance.

Night Dives. The life of the reef looks a lot different at night and the experience of hovering in the warm salt water, flashlight in hand, feels like nothing else. The experience starts in the late afternoon so you can witness a spectacular sunset from the boat. A guide leads you down to the reef, where an entirely different host of marine life appears at night, including small bamboo sharks.

Additional Dives. Con Dao offers amazing spots for plenty of day dives too. With great guides and calm waters, both certified and non-certified divers can enjoy the undersea marine life, which includes numerous reef fish, rays, turtles, giant barracuda, cobia and batfish, all swimming around pristine coral.
