Location

Grand Hyatt is located on the southern side of Kauai, a roughly 30-minute drive from Lihue Airport (LIH). From the U.S. mainland, Alaska Airlines, American, Delta, Continental/United, Hawaiian Airlines, and US Airways all offer service. We recommend renting a car, as the island of Kauai is filled with numerous activities, hiking trails, villages, and pockets ripe for exploring. You could spend a whole day just discovering its hidden beaches.

We recommend renting a car through club partner Avis, on-site service is available in the resort’s lobby. Inspirato members receive exclusive benefits through the invitation-only Avis President’s Club. LIH, Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa offers a Roberts Hawaii Express Shuttle with meet and greet service. This transportation needs to be arranged prior to your arrival.

Good, not great.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauai and overall the experience was fine—pleasant, but not exceptional. As with many resort stays, this one didn't quite deliver the special Inspirato touch we've come to expect. The property itself is showing its age; while it's well maintained, it feels dated compared to newer luxury resorts. We booked a spa day experience with lunch. The spa services were significantly overpriced for the quality provided, which was disappointing. Lunch was included but served to-go in a brown paper bag—fine for convenience, but it didn't align with the premium spa experience implied. That said, the setting is beautiful, the grounds are lovely, and we did enjoy our time. We liked it—but didn't love it. Overall, a solid stay, just not a standout or memorable Inspirato experience.

Incredible hotel for families

This is an awesome property for families (water slides, beaches, etc), with lots to activities nearby (rafting, helicopter rides, ATVs, etc). Service is excellent. The only drawback is that breakfast is not included in the room rate, and is terribly priced (currently $52USD/ppn).

Amazing Beautiful Trip

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Kauwi the beginning of March and it was wonderful! Accommodations were beautiful, restaurants were great and the pool was awesome! There was a lazy river, slides and a salt water lagoon. You could sit on the beach where we saw sea lions and turtles. There is a path along the beach you can walk and get some beautiful pics of the waves crashing and the sunset. They have a complimentary shuttle which is helpful to get to places within a 5 mile radius. The departure lounge was a nice way to end our stay as our flight left late and we could stay by the pool and enjoy our last day

perfect

The Grand Hyatt Kauai is such a special place. The aloha feel permeates every nook and cranny and heart and soul. The grounds are lush, and the insides are immaculate! We stayed in the oceanfront suite and it was absolutely luxurious. There is so much to do here from pools to walks to exploring to dining, you don't even have to leave. But if you do, you are well situated to get anywhere on the island easily. Highly recommend!
