Location

Faena Hotel Miami Beach is located in the Faena District, an easy 20-minute drive (approximately 12 miles) from Miami International Airport (MIA). The Port of Miami is located 15-minutes away by car or taxi. There are plenty of transportation options readily available to take you to and from the airport, but we recommend making plans with your concierge in advance.

You may want to forego the rental car, as you can get around downtown Miami and Miami Beach in a variety of ways, from taxi to private car service. Faena Hotel also offers bicycle rentals and access to a house car on a first-come, first-served basis.

Less Than Impressive Stay

We stayed at the Faena Miami from 11/27 to 12/1/24, and unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations for a 5-star hotel. Pre-Arrival: Prior to our stay, we attempted to arrange several requests through the concierge, but communication was inconsistent and slow. It often took days to receive responses. For instance, when we asked for Thanksgiving dinner recommendations, the responses were vague and unhelpful. We also requested a rollaway bed before arrival, which was not provided upon check-in, requiring us to request it again. Service Issues: The service throughout our stay was mediocre at best, often frustratingly slow. Room service was disappointing—part of our order was forgotten, errors were made on other items, and the food quality was below average. Similarly, poolside and beachside service was extremely sluggish. The system of raising a flag to place an order is inefficient; I waited nearly an hour for an attendant to stop by. On another occasion, we waited over an hour for churros to be delivered poolside. Other Concerns: • One of the TVs in our room wasn’t working properly. • It was unclear if the hotel provided complimentary water in the room, so we had to go out and buy our own. • The hotel’s location, while scenic, is farther north on Miami Beach and less convenient for accessing the South Beach spots we enjoy. • When it rained, we tried to dine at the poolside restaurant but were told by the hostess that we needed a reservation, and seating (inside or outside) couldn’t be guaranteed. There was no timeline for when we’d be seated, despite being hotel guests. The pool was also closed early for a private party on Saturday. Overall Impression: We expect much more from a 5-star property. The service, food quality, and overall experience at the Faena Miami were among the poorest we’ve had in Miami. Lastly, the photos online appear better than in person in my opinion. This stay was disappointing, and we won’t be returning.

Miami Beach getaway

Great hotel for a few days in Miami. The night life is wonderful! This hotel has it going on. All three restaurants at the hotel are exceptional. There’s no reason to leave.

Great trip

We really enjoyed the oceanview Junior Suite. The Pool Staff was amazing. The concierge was great. I would say that the Front Desk Staff could be improved.

extremely overpriced and under delivered

This was so disappointing. There was zero customer service. Turn down service came and we found our room to be left open after an evening out. There was no service at the pool. Despite a lot of people working, the drinks took forever and they delivered food and drink to the wrong people. When asked about the spa services nobody could direct us and ended up giving us the wrong information. I would never recommend this place nor go back.
