Great visit to the Fairmont Princess

We had a great time for two weeks at this resort. One caution is that there are a number of families staying here and the parents and hotel staff don't seem to supervise the kids. There were one or two nights when the kids seemed to be set free to run, scream and yell on the lawn in front of the suites - not very relaxing. We did talk to the manager and they sent out some supervision on other nights.

The beach is great and the staff is very friendly and excellent.

One additional caution is that we were told that they are phasing out the padded lounge chairs. Without padding the lounge chairs are not comfortable at all.

Great place to stay when in Maui.

This is a bustling resort, right on the water, with substantial facilities including pools, the work-out room and golf. Our Inspirato room was spacious with a good view of the property and the ocean.

The resort is linked to the other Wailea resorts by a long walking path, which was very convenient. Seeing the sunrise on top of Haleakala was awesome and our snorkeling trip actually turned out to be the best whale watching trip I've ever experienced!

Restaurant Suggestions:

1. Ko, at the resort, is excellent. Nick's looked good too, but we didn't eat there.

2. Mama's Fish House. If you haven't been, this is a must. But make your reservations way in advance. We booked reservations 3 months prior and the best we could get for a dinner reservation was 2:30 in the afternoon.

3. Monkeypod was fabulous. High energy, great service, great food in a very casual setting.

Aloha Spirit in Luxery

Fairmont Kei Lani is back to pre-covid glory. The resort has had some great remodels and the new lobby bar is spectacular. The room upgrades are also extremely well done.

Don't miss the complimentary sunset yoga, and fitness classes. The sunsets directly in front of the resort, we had dinner at the Four Seasons one night and the sunset is much better from the Fairmont.

Maui is great and has so many activities to offer.

Great time. Highly recommend!

The unit's balcony was one of the best places on the resort to watch the sunset over the Pacific.
