Location

Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG), which is located on Maui near Haleakala. You'll generally connect through Honolulu to get there and many major airlines offer service.

One of the highlights of Maui is its variety; you might want to explore a new beach one day, a rainforest the next, and the road to Hana after that. We recommend renting a car through Club partner Avis for the freedom to explore in comfort.

Very nice unit and resort/Excellent service

Despite losing half of the week to the historic Kona Low storm, we enjoyed ourselves in Lokahi. The Unit was spacious and was well-stocked. It has a view of the ocean from the master bedroom and the patio. It is a fairly long walk downhill to the beach as it is a large resort. Our only issue with the unit was that the bathroom for the 3rd bedroom was in the hallway, which is inconvenient if traveling as a group of friends.

The villas at Andaz Maui are a great value, as an incredible breakfast buffet is included and you receive a $150 resort credit each day as well as free valet parking. You also don't have to pay the resort fee. This adds up to a lot of benefits.

We found the on-site staff to be very responsive. There is a specific set of concierges for the Villas. When the storm hit and we couldn't get a flight out of Maui for a few days, the on-site staff quickly provided alternative accommodations at a "distressed traveler" rate, which was really appreciated. Everyone at the resort was extremely friendly and helpful.

The storm wiped out 90% of the beach, so I would recommend checking on the status if sitting on the beach is important to you. Also, service is more limited at the beach than might be typical. There is no drinks service and they did run out of chairs at peak time on one of the mornings we were fortunate enough to see the sun.

not enough shade

The villas were nice and well appointed and up to Inspirato standards, but we did not love the rest of the hotel and property. The beach was the best part, however, around noon every day or even earlier the winds come and all the umbrellas must come down, and the water gets rough, so the best time for the beach is early am. After that, the unbrellas at the pool come down and there is no shade to be found and the sun is blazing. The lounge chairs did not have cushions and seemed cheap to me, which is always something I look for. The pools were ok, uncomfortable chairs, no umbrellas in the afternoon and crowded. There were cabanas for rent that were pricey and looked like something you could buy at Costco. We would not stay there again. I will say the Inspirato concierge was very helpful and service was good.

Great Experience

Our second time to this resort. We brought our two adult kids, daughter in-law and two grand kids aged 4 and 1. This Villas really work well when traveling with young kids for naps and bedtime, as we don’t have to retire to different hotel rooms. The daily breakfast buffet which is included in the price in exceptional. Also the $150 daily credit is great, although it doesn’t go real far. Morimoto was a hit with our family. The only two complaints: 1) pools are not warm enough and 2) we had problems with all three thermostats in our villa. We usually alternate our days between the beach and the pool. On the pool days, we rent a cabana and are able to fit our entire family in it. The cost is $500 during the week and $650 on weekends. We did have dinner at Mama’s Fish House this trip and what an incredible experience. We had to make reservations 5 months in advance. Saw lots of turtles at their beach.. Also had dinners at Olivine at the Grand Wailea and Nick’s Fish Market at the Fairmont. Enjoyed Olivine more though.

Perfect Family Vacation

This was the perfect spot for us to bring our family. Absolutely loved the trip. Easy check-in, VIP concierge will text you throughout your stay and check on you. Requests for anything we needed were promptly delivered to us. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Drinks were strong! Music was great during the evenings at the pool bar. No regrets.

Paradise

This is our 2nd stay at Andaz Wailea. The hotel is wonderful and the 3 bedroom villa we stayed in. The brunch is a favorite at Kaana Kitchen. The experiences that they have to choose from, keeps everyone busy. We did the Outrigger Canoe. Water was clear and we saw many turtles and different fish. Live music in the evenings, great walks along the beaches, shopping, and many excursions. A great place for a couple or family!
