Location

Fly into Kahului Airport (OGG), which is located on Maui near Haleakala. You'll generally connect through Honolulu to get there and many major airlines offer service. Airlines servicing OGG include American, Delta, Hawaiian Airlines, United and US Airways.

One of the highlights of Maui is its variety; you might want to explore a new beach one day, a rainforest the next, and the road to Hana after that. We recommend renting a car through club partner Avis.

Beautiful, convenient and easy!

We loved this property. Our villa was about 20 steps to the beach. The beach was nice and had a couple of legit reefs about 30-40 yards out! They replenished waters, coconut waters and guava juice every single day. I would recommend going during whale season because we saw soooo many whales right from the beach all day. We rented kayaks multiple days to go out and get closer to them. Everything was so easy and the service was top notch. This would be great for a couple trip or a family. We went with my folks and our room was downstairs, their's was up so there was some privacy for both!

Good, Not Great

This is perhaps the 4th or 5th time we've stayed in the villas at the Fairmont, and we've always had a fantastic time. However, I'd recommend this particular villa, Lehua, as a last resort. The villa is the same as the others, but its proximity to the greenery of the grounds results in you dealing with pests that you don't want to while on vacation in paradise. I completely understand that Maui is a tropical island. I've been visiting annually for over a decade, and I've never had to deal with pests like this inside of my living area. The concierge was attentive to my report of this and other issues, and the Inspirato team called me upon my return home and offered me Travel Perks. I appreciate them all. However, my preference would have been to have the same seamless experience as I had in the past.


The grounds of the hotel are amazing, and are second to none. The restaurants on site, like all of the hotel restaurants along this strip, are fantastic but overpriced. While I didn't visit the spa this trip, I have in the past and it is phenomenal. I totally recommend the Fairmont, just not this particular unit.

Love this property, this villa has obstructed view

This is our third time at the Fairmont. We found nearby snorkeling where you can swim with sea turtles and did all the typical island sightseeing.

Super busy and could not get a reservation on property all week but found local spots we had not been to before.

Being the 3rd villa we stayed in, this one has the least appealing views of the ocean, being partially obstructed by the massage tent. However, you can still be in the water in under a minute since it is still right by the water. The inside accommodations are the same as the others, good for multiple couples.

Fabulous villa, fabulous resort

We loved our stay at the Lehua villa at the Fairmont. The villa was well equipped and the plunge pool was such a nice perk. Housekeeping was a real stand out as they were very responsive to requests (e.g. we left our kitchen towel in the soiled towel bin, and seeing we were using it they left us several more; similarly when we asked for more Nespresso pods they brought us a huge bag of them).

One note about the Lehua villa in particular is that when it lists a partial ocean view, you should note that the view is significantly obstructed by trees and a massage hut, and you can only see the ocean from certain places on the lanais. This didn't bother us at all as the unit and resort were so fabulous and the beach was steps away.

If you're staying onsite, I highly recommend cabana rental at the pool - having the guaranteed shade and a cooler full of drinks and snacks is priceless. Several of the cabanas have fabulous ocean views as well (with cabanas 16, 17 and 18 being real standouts).

I would grab this property in a second if it came up on Pass again.

Convenient to beach/Great service

The villa was steps from the beach. While we were not travelling with children, the location would be ideal to do so. There is a partial ocean view as the unit is on the end of a group of villas. The villa was very well appointed as was very functional for 2 couples. Service at the Fairmont was great. All or our requests were quickly granted
