Inspirato Travel Updates

Last reviewed: June 13, 2022

At Inspirato, the safety and wellbeing of our members, passholders, and staff is a priority. We continue to closely monitor travel restrictions related to COVID-19, consulting trusted sources that include the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization, U.S. State Department, and our global risk monitoring partner. We are excited to see many destinations are fully open for travel, and we will continue to maintain this page to share relevant information.

IMPORTANT: Travel Insurance

We recommend you purchase travel insurance that may cover any non-refundable portion of your trip cost including in the event you are unable to take your trip due to a positive COVID test. Click here to purchase travel insurance from Travelex. As always, your Care team is also available to assist you.

IMPORTANT: COVID-19 Testing Requirements Prior to Departure or Upon Arrival in Your Destination

Some destinations outside the U.S. currently require you to show proof (for yourself and everyone in your party) of a COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test result, either before you travel or upon arrival. This may be part of a broader set of requirements such as answering a health questionnaire and submitting proof of travel insurance with specific coverage requirements. Your Care team will contact you in advance of your trip with any requirements they are aware of. However, as requirements change frequently (sometimes with little to no notice), we encourage you to check government orders specific to your destination prior to your travel date.

If you (or anyone in your party) do not have proof of a COVID-19 vaccination or recent negative COVID-19 test result in-hand on the day of your scheduled departure to a destination with a requirement in place, we highly recommend you reschedule your departure, because you may not be permitted to travel or may be required to quarantine in a non-Inspirato accommodation upon arrival.

IMPORTANT: Convenient COVID-19 Home Testing

To help you comply with these testing requirements, Inspirato has partnered with Reliant Health Services (RHS) to provide convenient COVID-19 testing kit options. You can order them ahead of time to use prior to your departure. More information is available here.

Important Steps to Take Prior to Travel

Travel requirements and restrictions are highly fluid on a destination-by-destination basis due to COVID-19. To ensure you have the most current information, you should take the following steps prior to making a reservation and then again prior to your arrival date:

  • Consult current governmental orders for your destination to ensure your visit is permitted. Any stays that are not permitted due to government orders may need to be cancelled.
  • If your stay is permitted, confirm whether there are additional requirements that may apply to your stay. For example, certain jurisdictions may require proof of a COVID vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test result upon your arrival.
  • If you are staying with a third-party (e.g., a hotel or resort), consult the property’s website for the most current information regarding access to onsite amenities during your stay (e.g., pools, gyms, spas).
  • Consult current governmental orders for your home jurisdiction to confirm whether there are any requirements for your return home. For example, certain jurisdictions may require a quarantine period upon your return.

Inspirato’s Partnership with VeriFLY

Inspirato is partnering with the VeriFLY digital wellness app to help make the COVID-19 travel requirements for international travel more convenient for members. For participating airlines and travel routes, the free VeriFLY app streamlines and expedites the verification process for check-in at departure.

The VeriFLY app will prompt you to confirm the details of your trip, including flight information, a negative COVID-19 test or vaccination status that fulfills your travel destination's requirements, and any required documentation. As you confirm each required element for travel, the app verifies that your test matches your destination country's requirements and displays a simple pass or fail message. This process will help streamline check-in at the airport before your departure. VeriFLY also provides you with reminders when your travel window is coming to a close and notifies you once your credential has expired.

VeriFLY is only accepted in select locations. Learn more and get started here.

Our Residence Portfolio

Our residence portfolio is open for travel. If you have a reservation for an Inspirato residence in a destination where COVID-related restrictions apply (e.g., testing or mask requirements), your Care team will contact you to discuss your options and help you make an informed decision.

Although our residence portfolio is open, as a club we are still observing the guidance of our expert consultants and the requirements of public health authorities to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and keep all of our staff and members safe. Our intent is to provide you with options where you can safely spend time with your families as we thoughtfully return to familiar norms regarding travel.

Enhanced Housekeeping & Safety Standards

Unlike vacation home rental brokers, we manage and control our residence portfolio. This means we are uniquely able to establish, monitor, and enforce our own housekeeping and safety protocols. Prior to COVID-19, our standards were already best in class. To ensure you feel safe and comfortable when you stay in our managed and controlled homes, we have introduced enhanced standards through the new Inspirato Clean Vacation Commitment.
