When you venture into town to shop, dine or enjoy an adult beverage, you'll be in "Jackson." Jackson Hole actually refers to the larger valley between the Teton Range and the Gros Ventre Range. The town itself occupies the south end of Jackson Hole.

Like many mountain-area climates, Jackson Hole's temperatures are warmer during the day while the sun shines and significantly colder at night. Summer temperatures hover in the 70s and 80s, and with little humidity, the outdoor climate is pleasant and beautiful. In the winter, the weather is cold and snowy, and below-freezing temperatures are common.
