Location

Fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), which is a 10- to 15-minute drive from the Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach. The concierge can arrange transportation from the airport. The hotel is oceanfront and water taxis and rideshare services are readily available, so we do not recommend renting a car.

Rest & Relaxation

Our trip to Ft. Lauderdale was fantastic. The concierge was great about recommending restaurants and activities.

We went to relax after a busy 3 weeks. It was better than expected. The room was very comfortable and allowed us to forget about everything waiting for us at home.

We can't wait to go back.

Well Located, But Needs a Refresh

This was my 3rd time staying at The Conrad, the first one was September 2020. While the lobby area, the lobby bar and the Takata restaurant are all very nice, the rooms we had were tired. For example, there were two doors to the balcony in my unit. One of which was frozen shut (not locked, simply impossible to open). The other sliding door took an amazing amount of effort to open (I'm a pretty strong dude, and it took everything I had). In the 2-BR unit, the furniture was a little worn, especially the patio living room and balcony furniture.

There was also also an annoying policy regarding beach chairs. At the beach, we received a complementary two chairs and one umbrella for the 1 BR, which made perfect sense. But for the 2 BR, it was the same (2 chairs, 1 umbrella). I even confirmed that for the 4-BR unit, only 2 chairs and 1 umbrella total. This did not sit well with my guests in the 2 BR, since it was a $70 charge to get the extra two chairs and umbrella for the day.

The hotel is on the north side of the strip, but well located - with restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so that was also a plus.

Inspirato's Destination team in Fort Lauderdale confirmed the following: - Our team has addressed the worn furniture and are committed to updating anything that needs replaced in the coming months. - Due to the exterior doors being hurricane proof, they can be difficult to open. We do apologize for this and will have our local team addressing the issue. - Our Destination Manager for the area has been made aware of the additional beach chair fees and have reached out to the local concierge to address these concerns to ensure it does not happen for future guests. We look forward to welcoming you on another vacation in the future!

Great stay vacation

Conrad Hotel is a great way to have a stay vacation right across the street from the Ocean!! Pool area is a great vibe to whit to die for views.Have to go to Takato sushi bar when staying (my daughter works there) they have great food

Peak Week Xmas Break Trip

First the positives: The room is exactly as advertised and is very nice. It’s great for a family of 3-4. The staff at the pool and bar are all very nice and friendly. Service at the pool was very good. Now the cons or the reality of what to expect, especially during Xmas break week: This is not a four seasons or even a ritz. It’s a Hilton. Set your expectations. Limited amount of chairs with very few in the sun that are not already reserved for other rooms . They run out of towels. They don’t deliver packages. And Inspirato really has no influence, no one shows you to your room, no one tells you where the groceries were left, the on-site team is really just the hotel concierge who is overwhelmed and may or may not get back to you. So just be prepared to book things are on your own etc. Not a big deal if you know ahead of time. Now, with that said, we got stuck down here because of flight cancellations and that’s when Jason and the emergency inspirato team did really help. He got us moved to the Ritz and offered a reasonable rate since we were in a jam. That was a great experience and big thanks to Jason for helping us out. The ritz is a different experience. The room is dated but much bigger and better appointed. The hotel is also dated and the Conrad is probably nicer and much newer but the service here is still the Ritz. The on-site person has been amazing and service is 5 star. Now, it’s also past peak week so it could be that also, we are stuck here a couple extra days.

Lovely unit

The layout of this unit is similar to many of the other 2 BR units at the Conrad ... a spacious kitchenette area, a desk to work out, and very comfortable living room furniture. The patios are large and spacious, and with a side-ocean view. There is a lovely view out the back of the Intra-Coastal. Being on the 16th floor and in the back this unit is away from the beach and pool noise. I'll be back!
